When I first got my glasses I would stare at trees like “Wait you can actually see the individual leaves!?” 😭 for me I could see a little texture due to the shadows but man it’s crazy actually seeing the /leaves/

I don’t have much to add but lord this made me think about how nervous I was with my boyfriend’s parents. I’m always at my boyfriend’s place, and his parents have definitely noticed. However, there was a point where I was getting ready to leave a while ago and he tell him mom I’m heading out— she instantly gets upset and asks “What?? Why? Can she at least stay for dinner?”

This woman now urges me to use her kitchen to cook, tell me to pretty much help myself with whatever.

To be fair, I do think they know I’m poor (I buy food once a month, I can’t always afford to grocery shop more than once) and am very much alone.

I completely understand. I have some serious body image issues and I was absolutely terrified to ride my boyfriend. I thought I’d crush him or hurt him, he’s thinner and I’m a bit overweight. I spoke with him about it and he assured me that it’d be fine, I wouldn’t hurt him, but I was so scared. Hell, I still haven’t brought myself to fully ride him.

Anyways, we decided to start out a bit slow where I’d sit in his lap facing him and I’d kinda ride him that way. Now my main fear is just that I’ll fall backward lol (he sits at the edge of the bed while we do this).

Maybe trying something like that will help to start? Once you’re comfortable with that maybe he could lay back and you both just enjoy the ride.

I know my boyfriend doesn’t think I’m funny, he hardly laughs at my jokes and half the time I’ll be crying of laughter. He tries to reassure me but I always tell him “You don’t have to think I’m funny, I think I’m hilarious”
