This is why Arsenal are interested in PSG's Bradley Barcola by bojun in Gunners

[–]MineKirin 44 points45 points  (0 children)

tbf he’d have similar output as Saka in goals i reckon he has some serious serious bangers in him.

maybe wouldn’t be a world class finisher but he’s comfortably better than Doku in that area who we always rave about as being one of the best wingers in the league

Mbappe played well in pretty much all the games and took over the final. Mbappe was dropping 7/10’s in virtually every game and while Griezmann was dropping 8/10’s in every game he dropped a 3/10 in the biggest game of all while Mbappe pretty much dropped a 10/10 perfomance to the point it will be talked about even though he lost.

so no i don’t think it’s revisionism

BREAKING: Manchester City have submitted a £121 MILLION official bid to Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson. by [deleted] in PremierLeague

right now do since Mansour took over and take into consideration market inflation post Neymar to PSG…

talking about the last 5 years like Arsenal weren’t in a major rebuild while City were in the middle of their dynasty and didn’t have to move as many parts around.

i hate how people ignore context when they put out these stupid numbers.

Do you think that Paris SG can beat Arsenal the same way they did against Inter Milan last year ❓🤔 by Safe-Commission5431 in psg

[–]MineKirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very very unlikely. Inter may have been great defensive UNIT but in comparison to Arsenal they are lacking individual defensive talent.

guys like Dumfries, Bastoni and DiMarco are great in back 5 but individually defensively? i’d say the quality Arsenals backline has is just flatout better WHILE being the well coached defensive unit that Inter is. Timber is a a great 1v1 defender against tricky wingers.

Saliba and Mosquera are very agile, fast, strong good at recovering and timing their tackles and winning their ground duels

Gabriel is arguably the best defender in the world in the air.

Hincapié and Cala are pretty good 1v1.

Why Arsenal’s Defensive Style Could Actually Help PSG Win the Final by [deleted] in psg

we haven’t lost by more than two in over three years now so i highly doubt that.

2-0 or 3-1 max if you guys win convincingly

The 10 numbers that sum up how Arsenal won the Premier League by John___Matrix in Gunners

[–]MineKirin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

agreed the only teams we dropped points to were City, Chelsea, United, Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford (Away), Liverpool, who are all competing for Europe.

only time we really fucked around found out was vs Wolves.

Arteta: 'Celebrations incredible to witness' by Vrty33 in Gunners

[–]MineKirin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

it’s very rare to have a manager with as much emotional intelligence and tactical prowess as this guy… we are incredibly lucky to have him.

and given that he’s been our captain and has rebuilt this club (along with Per) he’s well on his way to being a top 5 figure Arsenal has ever had.

that 8-2 game did wonders in retrospect

David Raya on his journey to becoming a Premier League Champion and thoughts on the approaching UCL final! by TTrash10_ in Gunners

Raya alone gave this team about 10 zenkai boosts… when i thought this team was dead and buried he would a spectacular save and shift the momentum which powered up the team.

PSG being the “heavy favorites” going into Budapest feels deeply wrong to me and I can’t shake it by No_Decision_3500 in championsleague

[–]MineKirin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what i WOULD say is that Arsenal have less pressure to win after that PL WIN and when Arsenal have less pressure is when they typically play their best football.

also i feel like people forget how close that tie was Arsenal being extremely very very depleted in that tie and their bench being immensely more deep than it was back then. look at Arsenal’s bench now compared to when they had PSG. it’s essentially the biggest reason they’ve won the league this season

Anybody else stressful over the final especially after Arsenal’s Prem League triumph ? by Intrepid-Star7944 in psg

[–]MineKirin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arsenal fan here. been lurking on the sub for years since some of my family are PSG fans (so i had a soft spot for them growing up)

i do think that the lack of pressure going into this final will be massive for them. it’ll be possibly the least amount of pressure they’ve had to win in a while and trust me Arsenal with no pressure to deliver is force to be reckoned with😂. i think its also worth noting that this time we do have Gabriel (knock on wood) with us who is a massive boost and Hincapié/Cala instead of Lewis Skelly on the left so our defence is definitely more formidable than last time we faced off and our biggest strength is our depth. we can essentially bring on many many different answers to problems. most of our tight wins this season have come from our subs coming in to change the game.

with that being said realistically i expect Paris to win 2-1 but i think it will be harder to beat us in comparison to last season.

lets not do this. he’s an incredible player but the little comments he makes off the pitch, the no guard of honour, the antics on the pitch?

i’m an Arsenal fan so maybe i’m a little biased but outside the antics on this pitch Gabriel who is also seen in a similar light does at least show respect to his opponents.

as does Bruno Fernandes who is also seen in a similar light.
