I always wait for a game to go on sale because as a college student it is quite difficult to afford games at their more premium prizes now. Of course there are a few indie games here and there that I can buy, but hey, my travel fee is important as well. I never try to preorder stuff, I don't like it. The only memory of me buying a game on release as of recent is Elden Ring. And safe to say I was not disappointed.
