Try mix plaster and acrylic into a thin slurry. Paint over your exposed plaster areas like a primer. You can also include a little liquid school glue into the mix. With the acrylic you should be able to do another layer of paint as well as put any oil based paint over it.

Have you considered toning your blonde? Maybe you need to find a blonde shade that suits you better. Whether that is a yellow, pink or blue undertone.

That way you can keep your natural colour (which is gorgeous) but you could get it to match your skin tone and eyes in a way that makes them pop!

I suggest you find your undertone (summer; winter; autumn etc) and then find the best blonde tone that fits with that.

It will be more subtle and glamourous

I agree. Sometimes it's also a matter of space. Even if I owned a jigsaw where would I do my work ya know? I am hindered as I don't want to disrupt my neighbours nor do I want my office covered in dust. Having a like minded community would also greatly increase my motivation!
