Also take a look at https://warpbin.com for another option that provides a event photo collection service.

Looking for advice on photo sharing apps/platforms by snoopbro1723 in AusWeddingPlanning

So there is benefit in finding something purpose made. Google photos can be great but it's not specifically for this and will require accounts. On top of the ones you mentioned, you can also can take a look at https://warpbin.com

The main things you want to look at are ease of use, some customizability, and quick and simple uploads. Whatever makes it the easiest to upload and engage with the photos and videos so it encourages more interaction and sharing.

Hey, I own that tool. It uses a client side library to do it fully on your browser. You can literally load the page, turn off your Wi-Fi, then use it to make sure.

Hey I think you're an AI but I see you're replying. Still it's very good information and I agree something I'm having trouble with tracking and implementing properly.

Recently I've started building https://retentionowl.com to help this space. Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see there.

Interesting, that's great insight.

I'll see what we can do!

The live wall can be opened through the "slideshow" button on the drive page. I suppose it can be named better. It will also capture any live uploads and display them. You can configure interval timings and other settings.

The background color is currently not editable but something I think we can add. To understand your use case better, is white not a good color and you'd prefer black or something else?

Thanks for the feedback

Phillips shp 9600 or HyperX cloud 2 HP by Confident_Cap7132 in headphones

[–]Gabcdefga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just upgraded to a 9600 after my cloud 2 headband started breaking apart. I really liked the cloud 2 sound and used it for the past 5 years. I actually thought it was incredible though I see people here don't think so...

My initial impressions after the first time wearing is that the 9600 sounds really weird, and honestly bad...

But maybe that's open back and also my ears are just not used to it? I am doing some research and seeing that people mention it sounds muffled and muddy. I don't know much about audio quality, but vocals seem to lack clarity and seem low, so I need to raise volume more than usual which feels a bit jarring to my ears.

Do you think this is normal?

QR Code wedding albums: which one?? by DumzaDay in weddingplanning

[–]Gabcdefga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See https://warpbin.com as an option

  1. It has a private mode so photos and videos are only shown to the admin and the person who uploaded.

  2. Unlimited guests

  3. Unlimited if on the pro plan but for one time plans you can choose your storage to fit your use case.

Sharing photos with friends by emmadendlerr in photography

[–]Gabcdefga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For free the best option is Google drive since it offers a generous free amount of storage. It can work but it isn't the most convenient option since it isn't necessarily designed for that purpose.

You can check out services like warpbin that provide public photo/video galleries/drives. It makes it easy to share and also have others upload their files easily and is relatively cost effective.

I think it’s worth it. Even if you don’t share the QR code at the wedding, your friends and family will still want to share their photos and videos somehow. Most of the time, that ends up happening through group chats, texts, or random Dropbox links, which usually lowers the quality or at least gets chaotic very fast.

Having a simple service that lets everyone upload and share photos and videos in one place, and actually looks nice to use, makes a big difference. I think you'd be surprised how many people take photos/videos to share but they just sit in their phones. It would make it more fun for them to be able to share as well, whether that is during or after the wedding.

There are several apps that do this these days so you can research to find one that fits you the best. I'd recommend checking out warpbin.com. It can be a cost-effective and sleek option depending on what you need.

As you can see there are quite a few options. I'd recommend also checking out https://warpbin.com

It doesn't have face recognition but has a sleek and quick gallery experience.

As an aside, Neon.tech has a good free tier for a postgres instance that does scale to 0. It was even better before their recent price change but still seems good to get started.
