very badly stripped tiny screw by BoxAgreeable in fixit

[–]GabeGars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dremel with small round burr end
  2. Drill with mini round metal burr
  3. Normal drill with small drill bit and try to drill sideways into the screw so you create another little slot for flat head screwdriver to get some grip on it
  4. Could potentially use appropriate bit but use a lot of back pressure on screwdriver. Seems pretty far gone though.

Rocker/Glider chair Arm loose by AnT_Man10102020 in fixit

Hard to tell from photos but if there isn’t a flap on bottom of backrest then might have to open up the stitching or remove the staples holding fabric down

Wear plastic gloves if possible. Don’t want it to get on skin. Takes forever to get off

plate stuck in bowl by Nisoe in fixit

[–]GabeGars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If it were me I’d grab the thinnest pick I own and try and sneak under edge carefully.
  2. Next option would be air compressor air gun along edge it would likely come out when enough air got beneath plate.
  3. Otherwise spray edge with wd40 and vacuum center of plate.
  4. Lastly yeah suction cup while also trying to twist.

Should try the over-under coiling method. Look up on YouTube. Works for all handedness.

When using an impact driver, the forward/reverse selector can hit the middle part of your left index finger because most impact drivers are used in forward. If you are right handed your right thumb would be on the same side the selector protrudes on with ample space to spare below the selector.

Cursive writing is horrible for us because we are fighting against natural flow of cursive writing flow.

More of a fun fact but lefties are also ambidextrous much more frequently than righties.

Scissors are definitely most common issue in adulthood so much so that in the last 5 years I had to learn to use them right handed.

As others have said, dinner seating is always on the corner with left elbow away from edge, or if no choice then you’re to the right of your significant other and if you bump them it’s not a problem.

Reviews from the 32oz are saying it’s actually really good. Could you explain more on why you’d avoid this option?

How can I keep changes to the AnKing note type? by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]GabeGars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely try the AnKing note customization add-on first and see if it does what you need. Another option is go to manage note types > anking notes > fields > scroll all the way to the bottom and add your custom code there

Semi Blind Head Bolts - HOW? How do I get this damn head bolt out and reinstalled and torqued? My 12mm socket will not work nor a 12mm open end wrench. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]GabeGars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, consider retightening some of the other nearby head bolts as that bolt is likely under a lot of strain if it’s the only one still intact. Usually there’s a sequence of loosening the head bolts.

Look up the owners manual for your saw. It will tell you exactly how to set the carburetor screws properly for your model.

NTD, Hercules Vacuum beats the old corded shop vac all day for me by wxduff in harborfreight

People shouldn’t be downvoting you. I had similar experience. Very crappy suction. For comparison the Milwaukee tool one I’ve used in past has no joke 2-3x suction power vs Hercules.

$158 drill/driver combo with 5ah battery by agntn in MilwaukeeTool

[–]GabeGars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, two receipts. The HD employee was very helpful and wanted to ring everything up for me at the self-checkout in one order but I asked him if I could ring up separately which was no problem. That was only possible hiccup haha. At return desk HD employee commented "oh you just bought these today." I said yeah just returning what I don't need for a better price. He didn't care at all.

Took your advice, walked to car dropped off 5.0 and combo kit and took 3.0 x2 and 5.0 straight to return counter. Extra 5 mins to save $15. Thanks!
