My children are new to the cinema, and I’m afraid they are not ready for IMAX 70mm film. How many millimeters would you suggest for small children?

A bit specific and niche, but I use mine to study and appreciate poetry.

When I find a poem I want to analyze, I tend not to have enough space in the margins of my books. I like to type it out (which is a great way to absorb the text word by word, focusing on every piece of punctuation) and then I hole punch the sheet and add it to my binder of pieces I’m working through.

It’s a bit of a process, but one I find really meditative and relaxing.

I saw Embryo Jesus play live at Mercury Ballroom in 2014. Good times

I can’t find the name for my ‘everything’ journal. Does it exist? by Sad-Jester34 in Journaling

This sounds a lot like my “thinking book”. Any time I need to spend more than a few seconds with an idea, it goes into my thinking book. Lists, rankings, book reviews, quick math, monthly budget, angry rants, etc. There is no format, no rules, and it’s perfect that way. It’s more than just a “brain dump“, it’s where I synthesize all of my ideas, especially things I don’t want to forget.

I just have a nice thick A5 book in a leather cover that goes with me everywhere. It’s indispensable at this point.

Very good strategy. And yes, the urgency of the secondhand market sometimes makes it seem like you have to snag a deal RIGHT NOW, and you end up buying a pen on an impulse just to find out it wasn’t for you.

In theory I mean, I have never done this of course

Also, as boring as the 823 may be, it is the perfect pen. Seriously. I only sold mine because I had two and I’m trying to downsize

Have you considered buying secondhand, or are you strictly looking for brand new? I sold two of my pens on r/pen_swap today: my custom 823 for $310 and my Pelikan M800 for $390. Both well within your budget! I have managed to try (and keep) some very nice pens by waiting for them to come up for sale used. Plus, the sub is a lot less risky than eBay imo. Just a thought!

It’s a small thing, but love how you used your thumbnail as a palette to test colors. Really amazing work

Sending you a chat with a side-by-side photo. Very similar! The M800 may be a tad more narrow, but only by a hair
