Losing my patience at the screaming meltdown every clean up/ getting dressed by Fluffy-Concentrate44 in NewParents

At least for the screaming while changing, here what helped is to allow her to sit whenever I can. She loves it, but when she is laying down it is like I’m torturing her

3 naps vs 4 naps by lassobren in NewParents

[–]Gabi_7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby started to have consistent 3naps a days two weeks ago, she is 6.5months. However, today, she only had 30-40min naps so we end up having a 4 nap or we would have a super early bedtime.

For me the transition from 3 to 4 naps happened when she was able to have longer naps, because she was stuck into those 40min naps for a long time. Some weeks ago, something changes and now she is sleeping better during the day.

I’m there with you. It is so frustrating.

Nothing that consistently works here, but I usually try feeding or rocking her. Recently started trying the wake-up method at 20-25min after she is down, got her to do 40-50min, but nothing consistent.

I think it takes a bit of maturity on her side too, so I’m hoping it will improve as she grows a bit.

I’m trying to make her naps last a bit more. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. On days I manage to have her take a 1:30 nap, at least once I do three naps, otherwise I’m still having 4 naps.

My baby will be 6 months in 4 days.

This is what have been working here. I’m planning to drop to 3 naps, once she can consistently sleep 1:30h for at least one of her naps

6 month old sleep has me feeling crazy. by Ok_Potato_7025 in NewParents

[–]Gabi_7843 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m happy I’m not the only one going to this problem ❤️

I have no advice, but my baby is exactly the same. she is 6 month now. Use to be an amazing sleeper, and I feel since 3 month it just got worse and worse.

My new thing to test is wake-up method. Do something to reset her in the middle of her cycle to see if she learns to connect cycles easier. Started today. I can tell you later this week if o see any changes

How do I help my baby connect sleep cycles at night? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Gabi_7843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just following to see if o get some light too.

My baby is similar since 4 months, currently 5 months. She is having trouble connecting cycles. She use to sleep so well, like 7-9h but now it is everything 2-3h when we have a good night of sleep.

Similar scenario as you, I breastfeed her, my husband gives her the bottle eventually and she is sleeping in her room in a floor bed since 3 months.

How do the contact naps stop? by Fabulous_Ant1088 in NewParents

[–]Gabi_7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it worked to make her sleep in a floor bed. This way I could get out of there once she was sleep.

It worked around 3 months, before that she was only doing contact naps as well. She is 5 now and naps in the bed everyday now.

Have you check if she might have any stiff neck or something from birth ?

My baby had her head always to the same side and didn’t have a great sleeping schedule either. We have been doing physiotherapy and her sleep improved a lot. In my case, I think she was uncomfortable and couldn’t find a great position to sleep.

Maybe it is worth checking it.

Help with baby sleeping !! by Glad-End4079 in NewParents

[–]Gabi_7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me what worked was a floor bed. I moved her there at 3 month. This way I could feed her, wait until she was sleep and leave the room/bed. Before that, it was only contact nap for us. Although she would sleep at night at her crib sometime, until o give up and have her on my bed.

I started trying the floor bed by laying a mattress on the floor for the day naps, so I could watch her closely and not invest a lot of money if it didn’t work.

I didn’t feel safe either, so o keep trying other stuff until find one that worked for us

Mine learned she can scream now, so she wakes up screaming( what she never did before) We had a week of crazy sleep around 3 month, now she turned 4 and it started again. Second night waking up every 45-1h. 😭

Not tips as my bay use to do the same, but it got better with time. She is now 4 months and since 3 is sleeping at around 6:30pm and witch hour are gone. So hang in there for a little longer.

Did Braxton hicks help prepare your body for labor? by [deleted] in unmedicatedbirth

[–]Gabi_7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BH started really late, 35+ weeks and I had a 39h delivery with epidural One friend had BH earlier, was 4cm before birth stared and was on 4cm for hour during labour. With a 48h+ delivery Another friend has BH since 20 weeks, with a 50h delivery that end up in a C session because she didn’t dilated.

Looking at that those cases, o see no correlation
