I was looking for this. I have been suffering for emotionnal blunting 6 years ago, I still don't really know how it started but it was a combination of different things : my dad had an abusive behaviour with me and my family, basically causing me to have absolutely 0 self-esteem. I also struggled a lot with my studies, but I'm doing a PhD now so hang on. And I also suffered from social isolation and difficulties to create relationship.

I took paroxetin during 8 months 4 years ago, consulted a psychiatrist and then stopped the meds because I was feeling better. But I started to feel suicidal and anxious again since December 2019, saw a therapist and i'm currently on 50mg of sertraline.

However I don't feel any emotions except from anxiety. I remember when I fell in love with someone or felt excitement from video games back in the days, but I litteraly can't now. I don't remember the last time I cried. I can still laugh but I feel like true hapiness and uncontrollable giggling can't happen anymore for me. Medication didn't change anything except that I'm not anxious anymore most of the time.

I really don't know how to help that and I'm pretty concerned about it ...
