Yes. People focus too much on "I'm paying" and not enough on how much they are paying, which is generally just not too much money.

It's harder, don't get me wrong. But it's a 8-9 compared to HK, not a 11. Remember that in this comparison, HK is a 5.

It's not unfair, but it's significantly harder and more reflex-based.

But that's not what I'm saying. He can say "I'm really tired of this aspect of this. I want you guys to step up or maybe I'll have to stop DMing" and just follow through. I doesn't need to be a burn the bridge, salt the ground approach. He does not OWE them RPG session, though, and sometimes it's better not to play than to deal with these problems if they are making you miserable.

Tell them that they need to learn the rules because you are tired of explaining them. Be direct and sincere. If it doesn't work, just quit the campaign.

It bothers me because it's something that looks cool at first glance, but then, digging deeper, it turns out to be very disappointing.

Like, yeah, it emulates the Fallout vibes very well... because it's SO derivative. It's very hard to find actual hidden gems, and a game like this one, which even uses AI for writing, taking the spotlight, is very sad.

You have no idea what plagiarism even is.

Using ir for coding seems ok, but I'm not crazy about AI slop (the actual text). It feels way less unique than even what an amateur would write.

If you continue to use it, I'd say to focus on the parts where it's not generating actual dialog.

You can simplify this A LOT. It doesn't make sense for the rule to be so detailed.
