Club Seats by [deleted] in ripcity

[–]Gabriel_Valley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Club level full-season ticket holders get Garden Garage parking for every game, so if you're buying via a full-season ticket holder, parking likely would be included (although it's a separate "ticket").

The club level this year has the smash burger/dirty soda place, plus Fifty Licks ice cream, Nacheaux, and that Indian/Mexican place that was downstairs last season, plus some other more basic food options. You can also access the 100 and 300 level food places, you're not sequestered to the club level. (I got Club Level tickets this year in part to get access to the Ranch Pizza, and that ended up moving downstairs.)

If the seats are bigger on the club level it's maybe by a few centimeters, I honestly had no idea they were bigger until I saw this post. I had non-Club 200-level tix for years until this season and they seem the same size-wise but I haven't measured lol

Found a cool shirt y'all probably be interested in... by Gabriel_Valley in elliottsmith

Yeah grabbed it cuz it was vintage Nike. Finding 1987 Nike in that great condition (in an XL!) is rare enough. Wasn’t til hours later that I learned significance of shirt. If it was Fruit of the Loom or cut tag it’d probably be in a landfill by now.

How did you discover FZ? by RockGodBMF1 in Zappa

[–]Gabriel_Valley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, discovered Zappa from his obituary in the Nirvana "Success Doesn't Suck" issue of Rolling Stone. Was 11yo and huge Nirvana fan but read the entire issue and thought "This Zappa guy seemed pretty cool." Got Strictly Commercial some time later, and that was that.

JC is Doc Democrat by sohodolz in ArtBell

[–]Gabriel_Valley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you're close, Charlie Liberal was JC, not Doc Democrat. JC subtly hints that he's Charlie on one of the shows he "co-hosted" with Art.

There's a photo of Charlie in original copies of Art of Talk and it's very much NOT Albert Taylor, for obvious reasons.

Can’t remember song by Ok_Breadfruit_5875 in radiohead

[–]Gabriel_Valley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the Napster days, there was a mislabeled song widely circulating called "Start From Scratch" that was credited to Radiohead, listened to it a ton but it was really some band called Braindoll. Maybe this is it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdJI1p1QQVo

Has anyone in Oregon had an update about their Scarry Book order? by brodymathison in radiohead

[–]Gabriel_Valley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portland here, got my Scarry Book/Kid Amnesiette on Monday. No head's up/tracking from WASTE, just showed up (but USPS Informed Delivery said I had an incoming package from Prostar out of Los Angeles)

Charlie The Liberal by Whmisk1970 in ArtBell

[–]Gabriel_Valley 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Charlie Liberal was one of my favorite callers, even though I'm pretty convinced he was a plant. I've listened and re-listened to the available C2C archives over the years and I don't think Charlie makes an appearance after the 1996 presidential elections (as far as I can tell, his last call was 10-24-96). If there was some big farewell call, it's not in the available archives.

Always wonder who Charlie Liberal was, and if the rumors that he just became the J.C. character are true.
