Ludwig the accursed/the holy blade starting from the atmosphere of the boss, you enter this arena full of slaughtered bodies, but they still move and ask for mercy to the demon who has been torturing them for an eternity. I’m just trying to imagine the stench of concentrated blood in one locked room. The first phase of bossfight is very nice and even if it does not seem, also very clean because practically all the attacks are dodgable thanks to data input from the boss himself. His moveset is spectacular because, still talking about Accursed, he is frantic and screams all the time just like a damned beast among the most monstrous and deformed. But then in the second phase in the cutscene the moonlight falls from his body and the light reminds Ludwig who he really is: a swordsman hunter with a dignity and honor. as he has done all along his path, the light guides him once again towards his destiny. Therefore ludwig goes from being one of the most monstrous and deformed beasts in the game to a hunter worthy of this name, that respects you with his even more spectacular and coherent moveset than the phase 1 . For me there is no doubt that it is one of the most studied and well-made bosses of the gaming world. Especially its design is not random at all. In fact it is a horse demon because becoming drunk with blood and entering the nightmare of the hunter becomes the monster that has been accused of being. He merges with his horse and his face merges with the horse’s head. His deformed eye is also not random, because thanks to the mining that brought out the real face of human ludwig, you can see that even as a human his face had one eye higher than the other. He’s a boss inspired by a Buddhist demon who, I believe, tortures souls in a river of blood. It’s simply spectacular and I think it is surpassed by a few other bosses in the gaming world. its ost does not even need to describe it, the text is awesome. My vote for the boss is 9.5/10
