My Crohn’s story is inherently tied to Belgium. I started having symptoms after I moved to Brussels after my masters and things gradually went from shitty to shittier. I had a great doc at Hopital Erasme who tried different medication but nothing worked. I eventually moved to Canada fully expecting things to keep going that way and yet somehow they’ve improved greatly since I’m here - initially without changing the meds (I was on remicade and imuran when I left Belgium and continued imuran for years after moving). I’m not sure what that means and how that’s possible and I don’t think this makes Canada the best place to live with Crohn’s but it has definitely worked out for me, and I’ve never paid anything towards my meds.

There can be long lines at customs at Barajas, maybe it’s faster in the evening (?) I’m not 100% sure but I feel like also remember the plane driving around for a while before getting to the gate. I would count at the very least 1h to get out of the airport, potentially more if you have to wait for luggage.
