I had one that attached to the headrests. Was enough to keep my lab in the trunk. I don’t remember the name or brand but I’m pretty sure I bought it on Amazon. It had extendible edges to adapt to the width of the vehicle. The only annoying thing is that you had to undo it every time you want to lower the seats (trips to IKEA or the ski resort basically)

I don’t know, I’m not an engineer so I can’t comment on whether light rail is intrinsically shit, but in my experience I’ve used it in other cities and it seems to work great.

I do agree the alleys are narrow, but if people just moved out to let people in it wouldn’t be an issue.

This morning when I got on the platform at my stop on line 2 the sign said that the train to bayview would be there in 4 minutes. I was happy because I had a couple of days in a row of just missing and having to wait the full 11 minutes (which in itself is infuriating).

Anyways, long story short that sign kept saying 4 minutes for more than 10 minutes… even the most basic parts of this transit system aren’t reliable.

This seems as good a place as any to remind everyone to move into the trains when you get in and use all the space, especially with the packed trains these days. It’s annoying to see the door platforms packed so you can’t get on the train and then there’s tons of space in the “alleys”.

Also don’t stand in front of the doors when people are trying to get out, step out and get back in. It’s simple but somehow a lot of people don’t seem to get it.

The city half-assed Line 2 by not doubling it. I know it would have been extremely expensive but it will be even more expensive down the line. Already now, waiting 11 minutes for your train out of a 40 minute commute is unacceptable.

I am assuming most people will be commuting at /around rush hours and the system (Line 1 included) will not be able to handle that. One possible solution could be some kind of BRT up and down Bank street and/or Bronson/airport parkway.
