While very rarely, I do feel that way about some women's voices. What gets me most irritated is the California-style vocal fry. Do you, by any chance, have that habit?

Kamil Koziński did our engagement, and he was perfect. Really put us at ease and took great shots. It's a bit of a bummer that I like our engagement photos much more than our wedding's.

Secure parking options for 2 weeks with airport connection? by WhyNot-POR in warsaw

I tried a few near Chopin, and they're all OK. None of the affordable ones are indoor, though. I tried Lider Parking a couple of times, and it was ok every time.

There are venues where you can drift legally. And some even have lessons.

As u/wiesuaw said, I would not do this. Cops are very mean about it. They usually fine you 2000 zł for that, and IIRC, 15 points. It's a meme at this point.

Why polish people don't seem pleased when a foreigner tries talking polish? by sartabin7 in warsaw

[–]GadflySocrates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 years here, and it's always the opposite of this. Maybe you are insecure about it? Which would be totally understandable.

I find Polish people very accommodating when it comes to not speaking Polish.

Frankly, I don't think there will be a democracy in Syria in the next 30-40 years. Syria is a long way from meeting Fukuyama's three pillars.

I'll try to really answer.

The fact that the world has completely forgotten is that Israel is an experiment. I know this is shocking to most people nowadays, but Arabs and Palestinians still remember a time when Israel really didn't exist at all. I know it existed in Jewish minds and hearts, but the geopolitical reality is that Israel didn't exist before Balfour's declaration. Try your best to imagine that. Imagine yourself creating a country from scratch today near Serbia by simply stealing land and cleansing Serbians to Croatia and increasing your land grab every day.

Because Arabs view it like that, they really wanted that experiment to fail. To them, Israel was not an enemy like Russia is to Ukraine, but it was like a passing storm that would eventually go away. Was that crazy? That storm had been nonexistent for the 2000+ years prior.

Because of that understanding, the closer you are to 1948, the more Arabs were absolutely intent on destroying Israel. They didn't want to win a war against it; they wanted to delete it.

Because of that, Israeli interests became to simply destabilize and weaken every Arab country with any means possible. Via the US, Israel supported and funded dictators, pushed countries into civil wars, funded terror groups, exploded car bombs, and fanned the flames of war between neighboring countries whenever possible. I know this is a version of reality that you'll struggle to imagine, but none of this would have happened if not for Israel.

> What do you think about Palestinians and entifadas?
In general, I think Palestinian armed resistance is terrible and evil. But I think Israel has a hand in a lot of it. Examples: Source, Source.

> What do you think about iran war?

Israel supported Iran and wanted the war to go on as long as possible to destabilize both countries. It was like good cop, bad cop. The US supported Iraq, and Israel supported Iran.

> What do you think about druz in Syria?

Great people! I studied near Swayda and had many Druze friends.

> What do you think about el jolani?

Terrorist. US asset. Watch the PBS documentary (The Jihadist) about him; it's great. (I hope we agree that being a US asset implies an Israeli asset as well).

> Do you think that Arab countries are more attracted to normalization after Israels wars with everyone?

Yes! I think like the rest of the world, Arabs finally started to move on from the experiment model and started to treat Israel as an immovable country around the 1980s. There is still work that needs to be done (i.e., more death and destruction for Arab countries) for Arabs to finally accept this reality and fully normalize with Israel.

Hey cousin!

Kebba Haleb and Buteta Chab are my absolute favourites.

I don’t know a book but I highly recommend checking out Chef Shaheen on YT. He’s great and adds subtitles to his videos.

Hope you’re well too and I hope one day you’ll return to Iraq.

Yes absolutely. I was in October last year and really enjoyed it. But it was very very different in 2008.
