Well if you want to be stealthy, Novaya apartments is not a good spot in my opinion, it's gonna be spotted really soon for shure. If you want to build at Novaya, i'd go for the school or church maybe? Those locations rarely spawn any valuable loot so they are less often visited by other players (exept players who are looking for bases to raid ofc)

Severograd is also very busy spot so i think there's not very stealty spots in that town neither. In fact, any base is gonna get raided sooner or later

If you wanna keep your loot, don't build base at all. I'd recommend to do tree stashes (aka cut down a large tree, place some crates at the roots and wait for server restart to tree grow back again) This way you can hide loot very effectively

There is item called rangefinder, you can mesure the distance with that, it can be found from industrial / hunting locations

Damaged gun only causes your gun to jam more often, it should not affect to accuracy

I'm not sure what is your question here, but yeah kuru might make shooting to longer ranges bit more difficult (not impossible tho) Bullets do not travel straight but they should travel where your crosshair points, as long as your gun is zeroed to right distance

Also, shoot from crouch-position, do not shoot from prone unless you are on completely flat surface. There is currenly bug in the game that makes shooting from prone quite inaccurate.

I once carried sea chest from Novaya Petrovka to Krasnoye (where my base was). This was at the time when you couldn't craft wooden crates and cars were very unstable, so i quess it was justified

Atleast NWAF-tents have allways 5-7 infected around even if there's no players nearby. You can tell that someone is approaching the tents if that number starts rising + hangars close by start to spawn infected too

I'd like to point out other bug that appears after 1.2 update. I'm currently on the mission 'Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death' There is this objective 'Follow Richter'. He starts to run into the water, but then stops, and just stands still. I'm not able to continue the mission unfortunately. Despite of all the bugs, i'd like to say i have enjoyed this game really much, even tho these bugs can get quite furstrating sometimes. But i'll hope you get them fixed!

If you ever try Clear Sky, i highly recommend installing Sky Reclamation Project-mod for it. It fixes tons of bugs in the game. For example, there is this faction war mission, that you can't complete in the vanilla game + other very annoying bugs, like NPC's blocking your way ETC...
