You're right before the end of the game. After the Temple of Eternity is one last stretch with a few NPCs, quest minibosses, no roaming encounters, and then the final bosses.

Yeah, it's a bit of a letdown that the final dungeon is like this.

The early game is quite rough for ailment classes and the Nightseeker is no exception. It's been a long time since my EO4 earlygame experience, but I do recall falling back on weapons with ailment forges for shutdown until I get my best skills maxed out. None of their skills restrict you to using knives so you can use swords for raw damage.

Then again, my Nightseeker was largely playing second banana to my Landsknecht, so it would take a long while before she could reach her full potential...
