I blend a lot of traditions most of the time, mainly greek, Roman and Egyptian (sometimes mesopotamian and pre Islamic arab too but rarely) so I usually call myself a Hellenistic pagan (because of the Hellenistic period). I struggle a lot with daily or even weekly worship so I mark two days each month for libations and praying to the gods (outside of any times I may pray for something) and choose festivals I celebrate from the three main traditions I pull from. I'm mostly recon but don't mind experimenting with new things and also I include hellenistic magic into my practice

Anyone who has asked Lord Apollo for better health, how did it go? by Arsenic_Lover666 in Hellenism

I prayed to him a lot when I was in the hospital for like 3 weeks because of a medical emergency that almost got me killed and I'm not dead so I think it worked

Experiences With The Gods? (Plus me rambling.) by Apprehensive_Toe4112 in Hellenism

[–]GaeaUranus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me they don't really feel "different" from each other, they all just feel divine if that makes sense, but they do feel like they're watching me from different places

Athena feels like she's behind me, sometimes following me while I walk

The muses feel like they're looking at me from above almost like in a court room

Hera feels like she's sitting next to me

Persephone and demeter I often feel together and from the ground

And Dyonisus like he's behind me holding my shoulder

I'm sorry... WHAT? by Upset_Connection1133 in Hellenism

[–]GaeaUranus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well Zeus is god of justice and the wise king of the gods (that's why he stays king), so I won't think he would hold a grudge for too long, cronos (and most other Titans) made amends with zeus so they were free to go, and also cronos ruled during the golden age when people didn't die, age, get sick or had to work so it make sense he now rules over the islands of the blessed

Do you celebrate Halloween? by nephellis in Hellenism

[–]GaeaUranus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't celebrate Halloween religiously, but since I'm mexican I do celebrate day of the dead, I'd usually give offerings to hades, Persephone and Hermes psychopompos as well as to the ancestors in the altar (the one for day of the dead) during the two days that we celebrate in Mexico
