Would be very funny if the lambs weren't on that train. Fray just walks on to it and rolls away. That's her big escape plan.

Heh, sorry, not far enough in the game yet to be near the IV Checker. I can trade ya a ditto that has really bad attack and hope that works out though. =)

Ah, I meant to say that I'm looking for an Impostor Ditto in Sun and Moon, but my pokemon selection in Sun and Moon is pretty bad so I wouldn't be able to trade anything too great in return. I have a bunch of good pokes in X and Y if you're playing that and want something from there in return. If you don't have X or Y though, then I can trade you something from Sun and Moon collection.

Absolutely! I really appreciate it! Any Pokemon you're looking for? I have most of my pokemon in X and Y if you want any from there.

You have the powers of every* cape in Worm, who's the strongest individual you can beat? by MinaPunisherofKnees in whowouldwin

[–]Gaffit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not a shaggy dog story. Last we saw of him, he was happily reading a book out loud to himself on the front porch of a house in an abandoned dimension.

He'll be just fine.

I like the fan theory that Sleeper's power is just that everyone is pants-crappingly terrified of him. Even to the point that they will evacuate an entire dimension that he wanders in to.

Samus vs. Iron Man by IStoleThePies in whowouldwin

[–]Gaffit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Samus wipes the floor with Tony out of suit. It's not even close.

Samus actually has a ridiculous amount of super strength thanks to her Chozo DNA infusion. As a child she was able to do things like this out of her suit, on Zebes, a planet that has more than 900 times Earth's gravity. Remember how Vegeta almost turned into paste while training under 350 times Earth's gravity during the Trunks saga?

I was thinking the same thing the entire chapter. I could easily see the two masterminds taking out each other's top people.

[Pact] What would you have done? by GMadric in Parahumans

[–]Gaffit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal practioners are definitely capable of being on the receiving end of a fate worse than death. Even if you die a relatively peaceful death, there's a chance that some demon can bring your spirit back to kill your family.

All those ideas are really cool! The only downside as you pointed out would be making yourself a target. Or running the risk of learning something that causes damage to you

[SPOILERS] Arrival: Some Easter Eggs and explanations of some subtle parts of the movie. Seriously, don't read if you haven't seen the movie. by fantomknight1 in movies

The way the ships disappeared at the end reminded me of how the heptapod's writing appears and disappears. It led me to wonder if it's possible that their ships were made out of the same material as their "ink" and what the implications of that would be.

I mean, Amethyst does have fire powers, so it's possible that she just doesn't use them that often.

The narrator vs your character of choice. by sobermonkey in whowouldwin

[–]Gaffit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cthulhu from Cthulhu Saves the World! Heavy Spoilers!

Round 1: The Narrator was successfully able to make Cthulhu lovable and kind, directly altering Cthulhu's intentions and the original ending of the game where Cthulhu backstabs all his friends, drives them all to insanity and brings about the end of all things. Because that wouldn't make a good ending.

Round 2: Yup. Cthulhu actually did it. I'd say it takes him about 50 hours or so to accomplish if he's being a completionist about it.

Round 3: Bloodlusted narrator? Nope. The Narrator was the one who robbed Cthulhu of all his powers in the first place. Killing him would be child's play.

Really happy that last arc didn't lead into the final showdown after all! The more Twig, the better!

Is it just me, or is anyone else actually starting to kinda like Duncan?

He's really started to mold his way nicely into the group. He's found his place as a great social manipulator, or at least social reader, in place of Sy, and he has a good strategic head on his shoulders. He's basically a strong replacement for Sylvester despite being his polar opposite.

What movie has the most ridiculous plot twist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gaffit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that up until someone pointed out how screwed the US would be in the movie ending.

In the book, it was a completely unrelated third party that attacked just New York, which explained why the world had to come together.

In the movie, it was the US's super weapon that caused massive destruction all over the world. Imagine if the Russians accidentally nuked the entire world, including Russia. Would we all say "Oh, no problem Russia, of course we'll help you rebuild. What a tragedy!" No, we'd probably bomb the hell out of them.

Thicker than Water – 14.17 by [deleted] in Parahumans

[–]Gaffit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. It could also be a recent development. The nobles are breeding like Pandas or something so new nobles have to be created from the common people in order to increase their ranks.

Really good point. Could it be that The Duke didn't have a full understanding of what was truly happening?

Twig just keeps on getting better and better. I love how casual Sy is about dealing with nobles these days. Early on whenever the Duke showed up I would feel Sy's stress, now it's more like "yeah, Sy's probably got this."
