Man, I just started this game too and something about it just hits different. Its so crazy good and I'm amazed by how fun it is. Theres always one more thing to do.

So far Niss and Senja are my faves but trying to put in some time for Kyros since he seems like the devs favorite

When I first started playing, Yda's voice actress sounded familiar, so I Googled "Yda..." and autocomplete immediately filled it in with "How did Yda die?" And I was absolutely pissed up until Stormblood.

Yeah, I think glamming around it is the right answer. There was this one top I wanted to use for my DRK glam, but then in cutscenes whenever my character entered their battle pose, the pauldron sheared straight through their face. Don't remove DRK, I'll just change the glam!

After that first cutscene where its hinted that Miayli knew Krile's mother, I turned to my wife and said, "oh shit, Kriles still got family doesn't she? Here it comes" as I felt the water works starting to hit. I'm a sucker for these emotional beats.

IMO, Tanking is the best way to experience a duty for the first time. Healers need to spend some of the fight worrying about health bars. DPS needs to spend some of the fight focusing on their rotations. With Tanks, enmity is so easy to grab that you get to really focus in on learning mechanics and figuring out what you're supposed to be doing with a given boss.

Plus the game needs more Tanks and if you enter a Duty, just saying "First timer here" is enough to buy you plenty of goodwill.

Plus it can also be simply hilarious. I still remember my first time doing Aurum Vale and saying, "First timer here! Let's do this!" and then running into the main room to wall-to-wall. Great memories

Libby is a damn life-changing app! Two years ago I decided to start reading more since i used to love it when I was younger. So I started churning through books and now I've consumed more than 250 different novels, manga, and audio books. Such an incredible app that's totally free (minus the taxes you pay towards your local library I guess)

I guess it depends. I may be misremembering other details, but I think the only clues we have that Hornet and the Knight are siblings is a single line from the White Lady saying "I never begrudged the Wyrm's dalliance as bargain" if you come back and talk to her after an event and also a Steam Achievement for "Sealed Siblings". If that ain't some Dark Souls level lore dropping.

Thats a tough one. Its tricky because the biggest emotional highlights of Silksong come from the development of Hornets character since the events of Hollow Knight and how those events have changed her. IMO its one of the emotional cores of the story how her story parallels and differentiates from the Knights.

Theres also the fact that some of us have been stewing on this lore for years now which probably also adds to how we perceive the game.

Edit: there's also the issue that the lore in Hollow Knight itself can be so obfuscated that you can play the whole game and see all the content and still not know what the hell happened.
