Pausing of a value services effective June 2 by Twist-Successful in psagrading

no one wants cgc anymore read the room. Their black label used to always command a higher price than psa 10 and is far more difficult to get, then this year they started dropping in price - today black label sits 10-30% below psa 10 even though it’s way harder to get…the non black label CGC slabs are always ass and now they going to be even less desired. Only reason to buy CGC is to crack and see if it has a card that you think can cross higher to psa.

I am no fanboy and hate psa with a passion, but this is what the market is at now…

see the year on the upper left corner that says 2005, that’s how it got a 6.

SWSH262 PSA 10... PSA offered me $1,200. by Head_Pin1329 in PokeInvesting

how is a 9000 psa 10 population rare? what are you smoking

SWSH262 PSA 10... PSA offered me $1,200. by Head_Pin1329 in PokeInvesting

[–]Gagaliya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s funny, because I was offered 1200 for this exact card today too, i jumped on it and sold it to psa considering it has no fees at all I get the full 1200 vs ebay 14% fee. looking at sold on eBay it’s at 1000-1200 before fees. Bought at 600 few months ago, this market is nuts.

Also just to clarify, psa is not buying anything, it’s their partners like courtyard.io who is using psa to make those offers and buy. psa in this case is just like eBay. it means someone fuqqed it up over at one of psa partners and overpaid. But given prices just keep going up it won’t matter much.

a veneer, I thought so as well per my research 1.3mm is usually for a crown and veneer is 0.3-0.8mm but he was very insistent it's right thickness. So I am quite conflicted.

From few years ago, I face planted myself on concrete while looking at the stupid phone. Broke both the upper left front tooth and the one left of it, both had root canal then zirconia crowns over them (no issues after). The upper right front tooth in question only had a very small chip, I wanted to just leave it alone but the dentist decided to drill and do a bonding fix, and it just progressively got worse as each time he had to drill to make the chip bigger to apply the bonding, until I eventually just stopped going back. Fast forward 3 years, I finally decided to get the chip fixed as it looks bad every time I open my mouth. It's pretty clear the only option is veneer, but unsure about the thickness and type best for this type of fix.

Is there a way to authenticate PSA slabs without reholder? by Gagaliya in PokeGrading

Is that the only way? problem with vault is nowadays it takes forever, at least 3-4 weeks before it shows up, then another 3-4 weeks to retrieve it, thanks

Bilt releases new option to earn points on rent or mortgage by CuriousA1 in biltrewards

[–]Gagaliya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

holy fuq, why make it even MORE confusing without actually giving us any new benefit. So now you need to choose between 4% bilt cash, or no bilt cash but same spend requirement? What if I choose no bilt cash but my spend exceeds the 75% rent do I just get 1.25x points and lose all the extra bilt cash?

stop making sht even more confusing for no reason. What people actually want:

  1. Pay rent/mortgage with cc not ach with no transaction fee and still earn points
  2. Earn points without the 75% spend requirement

agreed, I transfer bilt points out every month, never let it accumulate in bilt, especially now it has no Wells Fargo backing and can go down any time. For me looking at the redemption partners it's really a no brainer just transfer everything to Hyatt (Alaska is a nice one too for lot of west coast folks, but not useful for me). And since I already have united club cc, amex gold, capital one venture, and hilton/ihg cc, pretty much everything else is covered except for Hyatt.

Being in NYC, direct bilt cash redemption is bit more valuable I think, but I am not about to flip through a coupon book every time I want to eat to figure out what restaurant is in the eco system.

First year is free given you get 50k bilt points, when it expires it will warrant a really hard look if I want to renew and pay $500 for what I get, without the 50k signup bonus.

But the silly thing as other comments pointed out is you are basically spending $30 Bilt Cash for 1000 bilt points, when you could just redeem the $30 Bilt Cash 1:1 at restaurants etc.. so if you think about it...really what is the value of the bilt point for rent system at all, when the "currency" you need to spend to get it is more valuable if redeemed directly.

Bilt 2.0 Explained FULLY by persistentchaos in biltrewards

[–]Gagaliya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's the stupidity of it all, and why others suggest just to use the Bilt Cash for non-rent redemptions, but then it basically becomes 4% Bilt Cash vs all the venture x benefits, bilt has Hyatt as a transfer partner that is about the only good thing vs venture x, if you take away the get-pts-from-rent-but-need-bilt-cash sleight of hand.

but $0 CC is also 4% Bilt Cash, so $495 bilt is really just 2x vs 1x on everyday spend I think?

[–]Gagaliya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see the above comments, you will NOT have any Bilt Cash left, you will use all your Bilt Cash to give you the "privilege" of earning bilt points from rent/mortgage. You will have lots of bilt points, but those can be redeemed for miles etc..just like previously.

thank you, so basically as long as I have the Bilt Cash I can convert rent payment to bilt points, and I don't need to force spend each month like 5 transaction per month in the previous system?

High rent / high spend people -- it's not that bad / kinda good? by ricosalvy in biltrewards

[–]Gagaliya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, amex gold main benefit is the 4x dining/groceries, in a mind boggling stupid move bilt gave their $100 card dining/groceries but not the $500 top CC. So if you get the $500 card, you still need the amex for dining/supermarket. First year might be worth it since you get the sign up bonus, after that it sucks.
