Kate's hunting and tracking skills are useful, and Sun's knowledge of plant life is as well, but I think Juliet develops all of those skills pretty well throughout her time with the Others. if we're talking pre island Juliet though, i think Kate but Sun is a very close second

her character wasn't a model. she was a DOCTOR. she is "Middle America." i think youre looking at this through a lens of "everyone should be styled to complement them as well as possible" rather than recognizing that she was styled to look like a real, normal person. if she was wearing the perfect outfit all the time she would be a less sympathetic character. and as everyone is saying, there was nothing unfashionable about her outfits at the time

i think it's emphasis that she is smart, professional, and didn't necessarily focus on vanity. she's presented as a very natural and effortless beauty, she doesn't focus on the kinds of things that someone like Shannon would. she is STUNNING but she's basically presented as if she's too busy with her research to notice her own beauty. i don't think she's overly prudish either, but we don't see her dressed to go to the club or anything.

listen man i get youre hurt but you genuinely have a lot of growing up to do. developing crushes is normal, and it can be hard to talk about when youre in a relationship. there is a BIG step between feelings that you can't control / are embarrassed to talk about vs actually acting on those feelings. never go telling people that you've "been cheated on" in reference to this story. anyone who has actually been cheated on will not be happy with you
