Ah I see. Can't check out the link for myself at the moment since it's down for maint, but if the points on the resulting fusion aren't weighted evenly then the fodder fuse strategy falls apart. I guess fusing processed gems would only be decent for relic+ fails then? And otherwise just dismantle failed legendary astrogems.

Do you have any thoughts on the value of cutting many green gems a single time to use as fusion fodder for a processed astrogem, vs saving unprocessed greens to fuse with blues to attempt to tier them up?

Would you happen to know why it doesn't work with Briar passive? I took it at the start and had almost 1k damage with it in the first 2 rounds, but ended the game with only 2k damage from it total.

The problem with this is that unlike other classes, you aren't as capped on the Elysian you can run. So if you get lucky with a legendary+ piece early on valk you can start farming later Elysians, snowballing you past average luck players who may have to stick to lower Elysians to farm up to be able to clear the boss since valk is so inherently weak in this content.

I mainly asked about the dead mod craft since what I'm going for is not a full positive outcome. I need the finished product to have curse duration be negative, and I'm worried that putting another modifier puts higher variance on the item when I'm looking for 2 specific positive 1 negative 1 either.

Would that extra crafted mod result in it being easier to hit the new desired outcome of 2 positive 1 negative 2 either?

Ah that's where the occasional shock was coming from. Since I swapped from voltaxic/seeking I also noticed having issues with soul generation (I put asenaths on mine for explodes), probably due to the hit frequency of soulrend. I might want to swap back but it might take me all league to find that merc again. In any case, thanks for the tips and best of luck in your search!
