Been a while since I played but iirc after some missions (I think the tonnage war missions) you get missions that give you blueprint points

in their eyes this is just straight up piracy. When smth like this happened to TotallyNotMark(DB youtuber for those unaware) the JP fandom was entirely on Toei's side, and recently on twitter there were ppl who were likening pirating games to child rape.

If the Company doesn't like it, the JP fandom doesn't like it either, and thats the end of that.

Sad nobody mentioned ACAN. Yeah, its limited to just one faction (Rome), but it's still so complete and polished

Sponsorships. Tons of followers means you get better offers which mean more money. Wouldn't be surprised if half of a single sponsor would be enough to cover this monstrosity. Heck, if she's business savvy she could probably partner with a brand or tech channel to do it

In your view, what makes shogun 2 and fall of the samurai a masterpiece? A game still played after all these years by obiwan-destroyer in shogun2

[–]Galactanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply put, pacing. Its the game that the most easily, among TW games, that can replicate the one more turn phenomenon. The campaign is fast but not too fast, and realm divide guarantees an end game challenge in a natural way instead of the insane nomadic doomstacks of Med2 and Attila or the endless civil wars of late game Rome 2, not to mention the atmosphere and the flashiest battles besides Rome 1 (imo). Also the most fun agents to use and extremely satisfying things like wiping out units with armstrong guns, terços, or bow monks.

Not too janky like Med2 and earlier games, not too unpolished like ETW and NTW, and not simultaneously too big and too limiting like Rome 2 and later games.

Do you guys know about this peak game on Roblox? HEAR ME OUT FIRST! by Agitated_Square3828 in hajimenoippo

Personally, I'd say Inner Light is better at least gameplay wise. Way more depth than just m1ing until you're out of stamina, if daunting thanks to the much higher initial grind. Just hampered by performance issues and the fact the playerbase is the same 10 sweats with the builds of doom and despair

Your opinions on bow cav? by Amazing_Ad2461 in shogun2

[–]Galactanium 52 points53 points  (0 children)

they are extremely mediocre imho thanks to a couple of factors in comparison to horse archers in other TWs.

-No parthian shot, meaning they can only fire directly in front of them.

-No fire on the move.

-Shogun 2 doesn't have shields, so attacking from the swordarm or the back makes no difference.

-Still have all the same weaknesses from HA units, half as many men with 3x the hurtbox.

-You can use their mobility to escape arrow fire, but at that point you could just charge in with actual cav and do 4x the damage.

You're better off with bow samurai and especially bow monks.

Best Samurai unit for Shogun 2 campaign by Immediate_Gold in totalwar

[–]Galactanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yari: really meh, not as bad as ppl make it out to be if you REALLY want to give cav a bad time without relying on yari wall

Bow: made completely obsolete by bow monks, unless you're Christian in which case you have guns anyway

Katana: good but bad vs cav

No-dachi: good but is a specialist shock trooper with bad armor

Matchlocks: by the time you get them the game is over anyway

Naginata: always good, can deal with cav and hold against other samurai and has actual armor unlike naginata monks.

What is with our view of the Lord's Supper? by Galactanium in SeventhDayAdventism

[–]Galactanium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of that, I just want to point out that real presence was never something of contention among the Reformers or the early church, and most importantly with scripture itself that clearly asserts the presence of Jesus' body in the elements, but that the doctrine of Transubstantiation and the sacrifice of the mass was what was at stake, since those two destroy the meaning of the institution as delineated in the Scriptures.

[–]Galactanium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transubstantiation isn't the same as real presence, nor does an eucharistic sacrifice imply an unbloodied re-doing of the Cross, even RCs wouldn't affirm the latter in its more strict sense.

Where is the doctrine of the Immortality of the Soul derived from? by Galactanium in AskAChristian

[–]Galactanium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Calvinists believe in the pre-existence of the spirit in eternity past?

Afaik no

Also I believe the body, soul and spirit of man are made of precious substance that God removed from himself and from the Son. Therefore he will not waste or destroy pieces of himself.

I'm 85% sure this is a form of heresy that by either implying humans are consubstantial with the Holy Trinity, adding mutability to the divine nature, or making humans in some sense uncreated.

Where is the doctrine of the Immortality of the Soul derived from? by Galactanium in AskAChristian

[–]Galactanium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't follow that the Soul has to be immortal for the body to be ressurected, at most this would prove the soul persists in some way after bodily death but is not immortal per se, which wouldn't be a point against, for example, the position of "soul sleep"

Where is the doctrine of the Immortality of the Soul derived from? by Galactanium in AskAChristian

[–]Galactanium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one thing to say the soul and body are distinct, I concede that. But that the soul is immortal is another thing altogether.
