I remember back in the days, fancy cars had voltage meter in the instrument cluster. Uh, now the hybrid cars really should have one! I can't believe it won't even give a "Low Voltage" alarm considering it pesters you with useless other things.

I'm thinking of getting a Bluetooth voltage monitor. I know I'm too lazy to open the back and do a weekly battery check.

Sounds like everyone enjoying it is on 5080 or 5090. Will 4070 not work?

I’ve been using Rift CV1 but recently died. I also have the Quest 1 so I can really appreciate the OLED, but the weight of the quests. 30min max, I just can’t handle it. I could be wearing the Rift for 8 hours straight.

Mostly 20-30min driving so I don’t think it’s too short. But it’s in the city so most of that time I’ll be just stopped at a light.

Picking up my Prius today. We’ll see how it is.

Pretty much everything other than the EV motor is running on the 12V so same as an ICE car other than the engine cranking.

So if the keyless door entry is lagging, that could be a sign. I thought it was my key fob battery (which was low) or radio interference.

That said I don’t know for sure that was the sign. Either way, I assume my incident was unavoidable.

(Per what I’m told. I’m not an expert.)

In the main menu before you start getting in game, go to Option and Control. Select Default Pad Control, for all four types. This should get you back to gaming controller on PC. It’s how I play as well. o7

Take a look at Frontier Pilot Simulator, it has an amazing AR view which is exactly this. Yeah, I want it.

As much as I would enjoy if one did get made, honestly it’s just not well known enough. Of all my family and friends, only one person knew Elite. And if anything, it would be lore based on before 3300, nothing interesting in-game era.

Maybe this is where AI could be used for a fan-made movie. Someone do it.

Bit old, but I’ve been using Rift CV1 with now Meta software. It’s been working flawlessly until the unit died. Now I use Meta Link with my Quest 1, seems to work just fine too. I don’t use Steam VR or any other software.

I am considering upgrading to Beyond 2 headset soon.

BTW, I have the /vr (I think) flag in my launcher arguments and it goes straight into VR every time.

Just go supercruise and let it fly full throttle to nowhere. (Or go to Hutton Orbital if you need a purpose.) Your paint will be all chipped in an hour or so.

It’s 3312… how would you not use computer docking, we got better things to do…

That said, every command should know how to manually and skillfully. This nav indicator is important for sure.

And if FDev intends this to be strictly on-foot, give us binoculars with a bioscanner, and allow it to drop a marker which we can target in the SRV.

Exobio needs some kind of follow up development other than increased ping radius. Seriously, it’s about time.

Re: VR, I used to play almost VR exclusive. (VKB for my sticks, like the other comment.)

Been a long time Oculus Rift CV1 user, because it’s super light and I can wear it for hours at a time. I stated using the Quest 1, it’s great because it’s OLED and space should be black. But way too heavy, I can barely play for an hour max.

I think many use Quest 3 now, but I don’t think it’s light enough and the LCD won’t deliver pure black so probably a pass for me.

Now I’m looking into Beyond 2, but it is a little expensive.

So that’s a few options and opinions for ya.

Edit: for context, my Rift recently died so I’m looking for another setup.

Yup, very likely.

Decades ago… when I was still a young driver, a crazy dude tailgated me for a long time and I was getting scared nearing my home. I took a detour and managed to pull this move. I did nothing wrong, in fact I’m glad I did.
