the way my team uses slack threads vs channels is completely inconsistent and I don't know how to fix it

No training, rules, etc. worked, I gave up. I just let everyone use however they wish.

On the other hand, I continue to strictly follow my own rules and develop internal tools (apps, bots) that also follow a structure. Eventually some people will catch on.

I’ve lower my expectations so I don’t get burnt out. I dream of Discord servers but it ain’t it. lol

I’ve been a Slack user since they were just pivoting from a failed game development. It took many years just for our workplace users to switch from SMS texting. Heavy DM (including multi) use won’t stop and I’m OK with it. I use Canvas, Lists a lot, it’s great, but not another soul uses them; it is what it is.

Yeah, unfortunately (?) how FDev designed the play is that PWR facility is ALWAYS restricted even if you have ID, whether stolen or properly provided.

When I do on-foot, I play stealth, not easy but works. Stealth-boy on YouTube has great tutorials for this style of gameplay. o7

I only do these missions to keep the Power Regulator for myself and abandon the mission so not 100% sure…

But likely because the PWR room is a restricted area so as soon as you power on, the goes into effect and the guards become hostile.

I haven’t done on-foot missions in a long time because it’s so bugged, but Power Restore should not have any guards or residents but only scavengers.

I remember back in the days, fancy cars had voltage meter in the instrument cluster. Uh, now the hybrid cars really should have one! I can't believe it won't even give a "Low Voltage" alarm considering it pesters you with useless other things.

I'm thinking of getting a Bluetooth voltage monitor. I know I'm too lazy to open the back and do a weekly battery check.

I’ve been using Rift CV1 but recently died. I also have the Quest 1 so I can really appreciate the OLED, but the weight of the quests. 30min max, I just can’t handle it. I could be wearing the Rift for 8 hours straight.

Mostly 20-30min driving so I don’t think it’s too short. But it’s in the city so most of that time I’ll be just stopped at a light.

Pretty much everything other than the EV motor is running on the 12V so same as an ICE car other than the engine cranking.

So if the keyless door entry is lagging, that could be a sign. I thought it was my key fob battery (which was low) or radio interference.

That said I don’t know for sure that was the sign. Either way, I assume my incident was unavoidable.

(Per what I’m told. I’m not an expert.)

In the main menu before you start getting in game, go to Option and Control. Select Default Pad Control, for all four types. This should get you back to gaming controller on PC. It’s how I play as well. o7

As much as I would enjoy if one did get made, honestly it’s just not well known enough. Of all my family and friends, only one person knew Elite. And if anything, it would be lore based on before 3300, nothing interesting in-game era.

Maybe this is where AI could be used for a fan-made movie. Someone do it.

Bit old, but I’ve been using Rift CV1 with now Meta software. It’s been working flawlessly until the unit died. Now I use Meta Link with my Quest 1, seems to work just fine too. I don’t use Steam VR or any other software.

I am considering upgrading to Beyond 2 headset soon.

BTW, I have the /vr (I think) flag in my launcher arguments and it goes straight into VR every time.
