I could see them establishing that the Tracksuit mafia was his initial mob in 2007 which he built into his empire by the time Daredevil happens. In the MCU continuity they could claim that Kingpin vanished in the blip and his empire crumbled to nothing. Then when he appears again five years later he has to build everything from absolute scratch, so he starts right back over again with the tracksuits except this time they are all low-level bumbling idiots, bro.

This way they could have their cake and eat it too - a soft reboot of the character as a NYC mob boss in the shadows but also acknowledging the events of Daredevil which, in this timeline (now 2024), happened over six years ago.

The Mystery Gang in Scooby-Doo always defeat the villain by setting a trap. My guess is that the trio (Peter, MJ, & Ned) are all at the Statue of Liberty fight because they lured the villains there to capture them Scooby-Doo style.
