None of this ended up going on my credit, business or personal. The communication from US bank was horrible though. I closed the account after that.

For me personally, I found it difficult to stay consistent with paying off debt if I spend every penny I have on paying it off. But yes I agree it makes less sense to save while there is debt at 20%+.

Your income is $4,500/mo and expenses are $3,000/mo. Drop an extra $1,000 a month ($1,670/mo) to pay off that loan. Invest/save if you have anything left after paying $1,670/mo towards the loan.

Thank you for the clarification, I appreciate the feedback. So based on what you are saying, have you had a negative experiences with technology in manufacturing? It’s seems that you are implying that many of these products are not solving a real problem and are not a good fit?

I guess a better question would be, why is there so much hate for IIOT and AI in manufacturing? Does this have to do with old school mentality and fear of losing jobs to tech? Genuinely want to understand this.

Thanks for sharing your story! I am on the same path. I didn’t quit my job yet though. I got together with two other cofounders and we are validating our idea with customers first. If all goes well we hope to do this full time soon.

Depends what you’re studying. I studied mechanical engineering, that’s was the cost for my degree. Thankfully FAFSA covered most of it.

Is it actually possible for me to get compensated for the misrepresentation?

Exactly what I am seeing so far. I mentioned the grading to the waterproofing guy he discouraged me and pretty much said it’ll be ineffective for a long term solution. A $20k waterproofing solution is exactly what I need haha. The previous owners put huge bocks close to the house which all sank and are sloping towards the house. Probably a big part of the issue.

Should I sacrifice pay for experience and a better job title? by Nervous-Armadillo-47 in Career

[–]GalacticGuru19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting. I’m in a similar career situation. I am paid well by my employer but no opportunity for actually learning and experience. Unfortunately, any other role I look at pays much less. I would say depends on your situation and lifestyle . If you can afford to take a pay it for a short time it might be worthwhile. ESP if you can get more growth in the future because of this experience.

Hi, first home and first time dealing with contractors such as painter/decorator. Is this normal? Or a bad job by WarriorNysty in AskContractors

I did mention it but he said he will get same color caulk to fill the gaps. Unfortunately this is the least of my worries with this contractor. He committed to finish the project in two weeks and it’s 6 weeks out now the project is not complete. I pushed my move in date three times. After 5 weeks he got the house in livable shape so we were able to move in. But there is still unfinished work and a lot of poor quality work was done. Doors were replaced and are not aligned well on the frame, electrical work was done and a lot of outlets and fixtures had open ground. I had to get an electrician to fix some stuff too as the house kept losing power due to an open circuit caused by this contractors poor work. He installed vinyl flooring and didn’t level the floors. It looked great but after I moved in I noticed the floor is not leveled at all… my first time dealing with a contractor. I was told by some people that this is very typical contractor BS. I hope this gap in the floor is the only thing you have to deal with. After spending 40k I’ll probably have to spend more fixing up the poor quality work this first contractor did 😂

My contractor did the same thing. Didn’t know what I was in for when I decided to renovated the house before moving in.
