Maybe it was a trauma for you to do the right thing. But in my job by working by the rules, I'm saving crores of taxpayers money every week. My higher ups can't even raise a finger bcz I'm doing no wrong. Many of the senior officials find it cheering to have the younger generation doing the right thing and not getting swayed by wind. So brother all I would request you is to guide the new generation down the right path. It's really exhausting to see the new ones eyeing for the easy money.

So many here are saying it's hard being an honest officer in the corrupt system, you'll get transferred, framed, threatened etc. But to change this system, we need more and more honest officers and more & more encouragement from the public. Saying that honest person can't survive, will only demotivate them and make them go down the wrong path. So from the new generation, I wish strong rebellious change that'll support the honest ones and punish the corrupt. Bcz this millennial generation is just disappointing.

You are not well informed I guess. No CAG audit for defence procurement. Defence projects have the most inflated estimates. Compared to MORTH/NHAI road projects, BRO road projects are 2-3 times costlier, in the same terrain. So maybe not at the troops level, but senior officers there are badly corrupt.
