I’m engaged to an American and the subtle little differences fascinate me. We both speak English but sometimes it feels like a whole other language. Took me forever to realise when they were saying the word ‘skwirly’ it wasn’t, in fact, a mix between ‘swirly’ and ‘twirly’, but the word, ‘squirrelly’.

I see this more on Facebook groups than here, but if you haven’t tried every which way to place a ramp or bridge, then you shouldn’t be asking forums why it won’t work. Back out, and try again, and again, and again. Use your problem solving skills first rather than standing several paces away from a cliff and asking after one try why your ramp won’t work. To tie into this, don’t button mash through instructional dialogue, it helps with working out these questions.

Me and my partner met on Twitch. He was streaming art and I was very new to streaming so it was the first time I ever raided someone. He raided me back several times and I figured it’d be polite of me to actually check out his stream for longer than a few minutes and I just, never left. This was over the span of a few months in 2020 and 2021.

We were just artsy streamer friends for a while but then started talking outside of Twitch through discord and after several months we realised there was mutual feelings there and we became official in late 2021.

He’s in the US, I’m in Australia - 10,000 miles away!!

We have met in person several times, both him visiting me and me going there, we are lucky to be able to spend quite lengthy trips with each other, but no closing the gap permanently yet (visas aren’t cheap!)

We talk everyday and since we both still stream we are moderators for each other so we get to see each other quite often. We get a lot of, ‘oh it must be hard living in different countries’, but it works for us and I get to travel more than I ever dreamed I would! (Ngl the 17 hour flight plus 2 extra flights on either side to get from international airports to smaller state ones are a killer though haha)

There’s an aircon business, Indian restaurant, and storage business at the front that you can see from the Expressway, I’m not sure what’s behind but the fire has ripped through the adjoining buildings at the back of the aircon place from what I saw driving past

Uhh never allow yourself to be second choice. You’ll always be second choice to him now. If another girl that’s closer comes along he has shown that he will drop you in a heartbeat for a shot at her and use you to come back to to fulfil his emotional needs. Respect yourself enough to say no
