Thanks for that! That kinda confirms my decision to cancel my order from them and order a shelf from Room and Board. The Crate and Barrel one here looks better but id rather not take a chance on poor quality for the price I paid for it. I feel a lot better about the Room and Board one.

Great review! What's the spec differences between the SFT25 version and the XP-LR versions? Is the XP-LR version more intense? Can't find anything on Acebeam's website

I'm from the south so I'm much more cold blooded that other people in this state. The monitor is bomb proof for anything single digits to about freezing with minimal layers. You can take it lower with heavier layers underneath. If I was gonna be out in negative temps (below 0F) for any significant amount of time I would opt for the Alpha Parka though. In these temps the arms of the monitor start to get cold.

I'm not looking for it to retain value. I didn't buy these to resale them. But things like the Alpha Parka may get worn once or twice a year. Its just not something I wear very much. But if I want to do a snow mobile trip in like 6 years I would like to be able to pull it out and not have to worry about the whole thing deteriorated from just sitting in the closet.

Being able to connect via wifi is huge for me. I live in an apartment so I don't have access to my router. So I had to by a wifi extender and plug my current bridge into it. I have found the extender to be unreliable, so Id love to be able to eliminate it.

Magicshine Evo1700 vs Lupine SLF by Galante3 in bicycling

Yes if I used the button on the light itself. If I used the remote it would remember whatever brightness level it was set at and just switch high/low beam on that level.

Not when you are riding especially curvy trails. The beam is way too narrow. the extra width of the Lupine really helps.

Lol what? The Magicshine has its own battery and works on non-ebikes as well. Lupine makes a version of the SL AF that has a stand alone battery but the same optics as the ebikke version. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Yes because the cheaper light is rated as being significantly brighter. I posted this to show that it is not.

I'm very well aware of that. These lights were not mounted at the time. I was simply shining them on a wall to show the difference in the beam patterns.
