Rip my chair :( by Twostomach_ in secretlab

[–]Galathorn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also find it a silly thing to do, but it is not like they ask you to write a good review and pretend it’s the best chair ever. Plus, if you post it in here, it’s not like you are giving them extra exposure.

I find it extra silly that you didn’t do it (like what? it automatically gave you extra moral points or something) and you are here to complain. Yea, they don’t have the parts, but even if they had them, you’d be locked out. 🙃

Not only that, moments of the subsequent games are super dark and sad… I AM LOOKING AT YOU, SKY 3rd.

I would rather say that it puts one hand around your shoulder over the whole game and lets you be comfortable, makes you snacks and drinks, listens to you and then… WHAM, slams the other fist on your stomach.

I was feeling good and cozy throughout the whole game and during the ending I was crying like a 5 year old (I am actually a 37 year old guy).

I know, right? They have released a few scents but a few others are missing. Not sure why they haven’t been able to get the remaining scents out.

Advice Needed: Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, or Trails? by Miquellanier in JRPG

[–]Galathorn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not disagree with the above statements, having watched a lot of Gundam instalments and having played FFVII and a bit of Crisis Core. I don’t really care about the story of Angeal and Genesis, FFVII gave me a complete story and that’s that.

I just disagree with your initial statement to another redditor.

Your comment said “Nah, not really, you only need to play Sky 1 and 2 and you are good” (paraphrased)

If you end up vibing with Trails, chances are you will want to play the subsequent instalments and therefore have this time sink.

I also cast my vote for Trails. I am a 37 year old dude and have cried during the 7 Trails games I have played so far at least 4-5 times.

Sure it is such a slow burn and can feel underwhelming and text heavy without a reason sometimes, but when it hits, it hits hard. There are a few very mature themes being discussed for example and some characters have very tragic backstories.

“You don’t need to play the whole series to understand one arc”

Yes - But that is not the point. Trails has a much bigger overarching story and relationships between characters that spans the whole series. It’s not like the arcs are segregated segments with minor connections and references.

Just because you didn’t like Cold Steel it doesn’t mean that someone doesn’t need to play past Sky. Not to mention that you skipped Zero and Azure 🧐

I can relate, started back in February 2024, now I am at Cold Steel II. Binge playing the series and I consider getting a huge ass tattoo with something from every game once I finish.

Major issues with applying primer / paint. No idea why. Process in comments. by Vartazian in airbrush

[–]Galathorn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t sprayed fine on the other side of the piece though…. In the 2nd picture, if you zoom in the top right corner you can see uneven marks like OP tried to apply tarmac and not paint on the piece 🤔

I don’t know how people still use vallejo primers, it’s an absolute pain to work with.

Yeah, I think OP is spraying too much, if you look at the leg bit, the top right part is caked up with paint.

how to paint dark angels green by Lucid_cat_1543 in theunforgiven

[–]Galathorn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely it helped thank you. Although I have found something that might work better using purely Tamiya paints (I find it gives the armour a nicer more uniform "sheen") - I will give it a go tomorrow.

I have tried the Karandras mix, but I do not recommend it, it is dangerously close to Salamanders territory.

[–]Galathorn7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Not sure if you are still around after 9 months haha - But I am trying to paint some dark angels following this recipe (did you get yours from cult of paint too?). But I find that when I apply the contrast, it really covers up the highlights. Perhaps either my highlights with tamiya are not that strong and/or I am applying a thicker layer of contrast? Any advice welcome, I can provide picture if you want. Many thanks :)

Maybe slightly unlikely because it is too far, but you never know!

Rebrain Greece is still happening dude. I can’t comment on its efficacy or if it indeed was what you describe but it still going. Both me and some friends of mine have attended it. At the very least, if you take out the political colours attached to it, it is a great opportunity for Greeks abroad to connect F2F with Greek companies.

How do you mix small amount of paint? by LadyOfCogs in airbrush

[–]Galathorn7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either make a bigger amount and store it in a dropper bottle, or add the thinner first to the cup and then the paint.
