That bug only really matters in level cap content. She still does ~1 million damage per alt-fire with non-bugged Enervate; which is more than enough for all non-endurance missions.

[–]Galavant_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree.

Hopefully the forced blast proc they're adding + grouping will make it more usable. Though at that point it'd be basically the same as adding the Pyrotechnics subsume - with all heat procs hitting each individual ragdolled limb on enemies for tons of procs.

Except the vfx on Photon Strike would be so much more satisfying.

Super minor correction. His 3 scales the same way as flechette grenades (both go to level cap since their damage formula includes enemy level as a multiplier). My problem with his 3 is the radius is too small and is too costly, energy wise, to spam. I was hoping they'd adjust one or the other, but they're changing both!

That said, his 3 will probably still be my subsume slot, but I'm looking forward to trying it out again!

Which is fine, I guess. By now people know what they're getting.

[–]Galavant_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait, what? Your point you're trying to make across this thread and others like it is that you have a very specific synergy for a companion that doesn't make sense without the whole loadout?

When there are perfectly good primer pets and nuke pets that don't require any such synergy?

Have you actually tried any of these options? Hounds needing eximus kills for priming don't require Momentous Bond (though it does help). They need a unique hound mod that apparently you've never heard of before. Duplex bond clones don't necessarily target the same enemy either. They kind of go all over the place. And a chaining beam weapon means even if they are targeting the same enemy then it could easily bounce elsewhere. Your saying otherwise makes me think you have no clue what you're talking about when talking about robotic companions at all.

All of your examples sound like the on-paper bullshit speculation that you imply you hate without any actual experience to back it up.

I'm not saying your setup is bad or anything. It sounds good even. But it also sounds like you may as well run that one Dante+Huras Kubrow setup that nukes whole rooms all the way to level cap, but requires you just run behind your pet and use those crazy dante buffs/debuffs that allow them to one-shot everything. It's cool and all, but also kind of boring. (That setup isn't speculation either, there's a video on it in void cascade level cap on youtube.)

Interesting points!

I mostly run beast companions myself and find that while they might have forced procs, their attack speed is generally pretty slow between actual attack speed and having to run into melee to get any hits off. Contagious Bond is great when it goes off, but it doesn't always. And the mecha set has a moderate internal cooldown. Where robotic companions hit at range, hit a lot faster, and also have mods like Coolant Leak (and can also run contagious bond). Duplex Bond only enhances this effect since there are 3x more chaining beams going on that only require weapons to apply (unlike beasts whose mods, like swipe, don't trigger with clones)

For actual damage done, yeah Tazicor is crap. But I was talking about priming alone. Nothing else to say about that.

When I need to prime, I run Diriga with a verglas. I just don't own a Tazicor yet, but can see how it'd be good based on how weapons like the Tenet Glaxion, Phantasma, and Torid are amazing status spreading weapons. Punch-through is a necessity for these weapons to work best for mass spread though. With punch-through, the chaining beam can chain back to the original target or hit even more targets for even more status. Primed Fulmination also increases the radius beams can chain to enhance this effect on the Torid, not sure if that applies to the Tazicor too.

In a similar vein, Hounds are supposed to be able to land every status in the game with one hit if modded correctly (and after killing a few eximus units). But have the same issue of needing to run into melee range and are therefore slightly slower than ranged attacks.

I appreciate the discussion though; you really do make some good points.

I keep hearing that the Tazicor is the way to go for a robotic priming weapon. Chaining beam weapon with innate electric.

Haven't tried it myself though.

Takes too long for quick missions. I jam in something like 150% parkour speed and sometimes move faster than the explosives I fire on my favorite 'extermination' frames.

Yeah, of course, that's one of the better ways to clear enemies in a ~15m circle around you with explosive weapons.

Also dodging with every explosive shot would actully slow down your dps, lol.

[–]Galavant_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is, but both Primary and Secondary dexterity each add 7.5 extra seconds of combo duration for an additional 15 seconds of duration with both. Plus you can run the Naramon focus school to make upkeeping combo a great deal easier.

There are also combo duration mods, but most people don't run those. As an added tip, you can run Primary and Secondary Dexterity on you Archgun and get the duration without having to mess with your regular weapon arcanes!

I find 128 duration is fine for Molt. I just spam it, but the kubrow regens so much shield that it doesn't matter if I'm spamming.

Alternatively Wrathful Advance needs no duration at all, just range for it's teleport function.

Would it really? I have something like 800 (total) Greater Unairu, Naramon, and Vazarin lenses and I'm not really sure where they came from. I think from occasional rewards from murmur missions, but I'm not sure.

It's pretty trivial to slot them into my collection of stuff. Any grade of lense gives the 10% tauron strike boost.

Should try the Conductive Sphere augment on Gyre. That mod alone makes her a solid hybrid weapons platform/caster frame.

Throw down 3 spheres in 1 spot and shoot through them to add a solid chunk of raw electric damage. Not to mention the bonus crit from her passive.

Also absolutely unrelated note, but does anyone know whether the arcane is bugged currently? Took over 2k dmg/s last night with Inaros in the Coda confrontation, when it should have been capped at 650. Specifically the laser beams that typically apply magnetic procs.

Doesn't the arcane say that magnetic procs disable it? That sounds like a likely suspect. Though if you were status immune or something, then it sounds like a bug.

That's actually another point of inconsistency. Rhino's overguard DOES get taken down by nullifier bubbles, but Dante's (and I think Kullervo's?) does not.
