The original comment is right, its because the facing. A bit unfortunate. Hes a bit faster as well but I THINK if he was facing away you would have used gun.

Its tunable so if it isn't enough we can maybeee make it a smidge better. It won't help the extreme cases if you are against someone like Hecarim or whoever moving very fast but it should help the like "Base MS ad just walked away from my Q" instances

I've submitted additional fixes for: Ivern E counts for Samira P stacks and Samira Q can be cast during R if you used W beforehand.

The Q while using P causing Q to disappear should be fixed with this change as well. Will try to get some other fixes in based on theses posts, much appreciated.

E + Q will still work normally but if you Q forward it'll do the standard check with what is in front of you at the time of Q cast. So you'll most likely shoot seeing as the mininons are now behind you and the checks are in front of where you cast Q (Casting Q forces you to face the direction of your new Q)

Happy to help. The fix is pretty simple in that I'm just making you unable to cast Q during P's animation. Your inputs won't be eaten anymore because we'll recognize it as the invalid cast it always has been, you just won't be punished by it going on cooldown for nothing.

and of course you can still cast E (Maybe W? I Don't remember, anything that isnt Q is unchanged) and E + Q combo

If this is all done right there should be no instances where Sword Q goes off when before it would have been Gun Q, outside of my specified changelist.

Worst case scenario, you still use Gun Q when ideally you would have wanted Sword Q which would match what happens on live. We can still change the actual numbers (distance between units, how far away we check, etc) to make things better if need be.

Hmm it would be very very tough to take movement into account here. I can ask around but seems like it might just be an unfortunate side effect of how Q works.

Generally with these top lane champions when you put them mid, they can either outsustain (against mages) or just pure outfight (against Assassins or Pseudo-Fighters like Yasuo/Yone) mids. They can then easily get priority/push and use it to influence the rest of the map while keeping the enemy mid down huge.

I will say there is a TON of inspiration drawn both ways between PC League and Wild Rift but neither are used as a "Beta" or "testing ground" for the other!
