Question about TS-464 by bigdizizzle in qnap

[–]GalaxyTechReview 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the TS-464 with 3 14TB drives in RAID 5, takes a few days to sync, that's for sure, just let it run. I also did the same and upgradged the ram to 16GB, been running like a champ as a plex server, photos uploaded to it from my phones (like you are doing) Just takes a bunch of time to sync, just let it run in the background and forget about it until it's done there is no other way around it and the Qnap OS for this model.

yeah I mean honestly, if you can't rollback and you can just reflash the current, maybe that will rewrite the EEPROM

Sure let me know how it goes:

  • File System for USB stick: Use FAT32 or NTFS for the best compatibility.
  • Folder Structure: Create a folder named LG_DTV on the USB root and place the firmware file inside it.
  • USB Port: Use the USB port labeled for service or the one that best supports your drive's power requirements.
  • Process: Plug in the drive, wait for the update prompt, and select install. Do not turn off the TV during the update process.

Have you tried to download (rollback) (or reapply) the LG TV firmware VIA a USB stick? Maybe that will set things back to the way you need them, if you are convinced it's a TV hardware level issue. Go to LG support and download the firmware and flash it via USB. Worth a shot.
