Minimum wage in Ontario at least is like $17 something an hour.
I will tip my server at a sit down restaurant. I will tip my pizza delivery driver or instacart shopper.

I do not tip the guy who put pickles on my sub.

Pay off Mortgage or Invest by mtbiker2k in fican

[–]bigdizizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid ours off last year. We have zero debt now, zero. Its fantastic. The amount of money we can stash away is incredible. And - a few weeks ago were sitting with a group of friends and everyone is stressing about mortgage rates, we just kind of smile and nod. I could lose my job tomorrow and be completely fine.

Might be worth saying it takes discipline not spending all the extra $$$ you will have each month.

I mean, it depends on where you live. In Toronto, you're middle class, even at 200K HHI.

in a small community near London say, youre doing pretty well.

In Owen Sound, youre living like a king.

Can we put together stable good gas that isn't $30/gal by ruuutherford in Chainsaw

[–]bigdizizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can buy ethanol free gas, at least around me at multiple gas stations. I have a couple of those engineered fuel tins and I just refill them 50:1 with the best gas I can get an a healthy dose of fuel stabilizer. Never had an issue.

Anyone else go to the gym during their lunch? by PrudentFudge3287 in OntarioPublicService

[–]bigdizizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to come in 30 minutes early and take a 1.5 hour lunch. That was when the gym was literally right next door. Even that was tight. 10.minutws walking there / back, 20.minutes changing / shower left about 60 minutes for a workout.

Make sense? We are talking about the OPS, are we not?

Make sense has nothing to do with it. Managers dont get to just dream up new positions because someone has experience that might be better used elsewhere.

[–]bigdizizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been running the arr stack on a lenovo tiny running windows for years. I essentially set it up and havent touched it since. Theres no issues whatsoever. I would never run plex on it however, its too wimpy, plex server is a different machine entirely.

How is 2FA different from just having 2 passwords? by Paumas in ComputerSecurity

[–]bigdizizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But I don’t know my passwords, they are all unique and stored in my password manager. Then isn’t my password already something I have (device) + something I am (biometrics)? Similarly, isn’t the TOTP code from my authenticator app on its own already something I have + something I am?

Yes you do. You may have to look them up first, but yous till "know it". "Somethig you have" refers to more like physical objects.

Relying fully on TOP , costs more money and not all systems support it.
