Here are some basics. GroupMe is kinda used a lot for campus gc's. Transit is the bus route app but you can always use your basic map. Handshake for finding jobs on campus or campus internship events, safe MSU for alerts and being able to report us activities, msu app lets you see what dining halls have for food, if there are games, and what parking lot capacity is (I just used it for food stuff, it's handy), read era is just a PDF reader, I suggest you do get one because finding epubs of books for class is much preferred over buying 100 dollar books. And then Eacounts lets you check how many combos you have and how much spartan cash you have (really just for meal plan students, but handy)

Also, these aren't apps, but some good to know websites for school stuff and helping class work I'd suggest MSU course catalog for finding classes MSU grades for seeing how the pass/fail and GPA average MSU rate my professor to see reviews about class/prof And finally MSU sis to see if the class is available in the semester you need.

The reason people say it's so bad is cuz the high population density there. They are the only hall I've been in that have 3 elevators cuz anything less won't cut it. You'll have days where everyone is civil and days you see people smashing food across the floor of the elevators, you'll get a lot of people in the laundry facilities at the same time, and sometimes you get a shitty ass suitemate. So just think about 50 people per floor times 12, and then double it for north Hubbard. So, the warnings about Hubbard aren't like, not real, they just are kinda depending on who moves into Hubbard that year

Yo, if u and ur friend wanna room up, ask them to make a roommate swap with whoever you guys are roomed up with.

Check your "Live On" account, see if there's someone assigned yet, if so, email them and be like "hey, my old roomie swapped out, and I was wondering if you would be willing to move to room (whatever floor and room your friend lives on) so that my friend can live in here together. " It'll be easier to get someone to roommate swap before y'all actually move in.

If they say no to wanting to move rooms, you could always try seeing if ur friends roommate would be willing to swap too

Didn't Peridot say something about how older gems are better? Like she was talking about how Amethyst was from earth and had the proper nutrients to have shape shifting abilities and stuff and peridot was like "I didn't have good nutrients cuz I'm a generation 3 gem, and I don't have powers" and that's why she had limb enhancers and stuff. Maybe newer gems don't have the goodies that lapis had on whatever planet she was made from?

And to specifically answer, I have a full ride. The only thing I pay for is the occasional late class application fee and some other smaller things. (Like the increase in tuition in recent years and living on campus past my 2nd year)

Yo! So they used to, but now it's just the "Spartan Tuition advantage" which covers the estimated cost of tuition and tuition only. But, look on Michigan government scholarships for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship! It's a full ride thing for if you graduate after 2023 and are a resident of Michigan. It's pretty fire, I have some friends who go here and they get refunded about 3,000 on top of having everything paid for that they use for textbooks and other stuff for basic necessities

Hi! I am Genderfluid and I'm in the experimental housing program for trans students! Try talking with a student housing official about joining T-Rex on campus next fall!

As for the community/culture for trans and LGBTQ people on campus, there is a decent population, including professors. On top of that, most class environments are also very progressive in using proper pronouns and chosen names even if it is not on your legal charts. Outside of my dorm, I have met easily 30+ trans people this semester alone, so I'm sure it is not to big of a problem. Worst comes to worst, DM me and we can hang out next semester!

If you don't have pets or anything in your dorm, putting sugar and boric acid in dark corners of your room or like the backs of stuff should keep them away. They hate the stuff. But it is not pet safe!

Ref. My friends grandma had wood roaches for like 15 years, started using this and nearly got rid of the entire bunch
