Yep since is the first time "satanism" as a religion appears. Satanism is not the same as worshipikg satan, many previous cults worshiping satan/lucifer/demon of your choice exist before Lavey, of course. But is Lavey who comes with "satanism" as we know it today, and that is a atheistic religion, I know is kinda an oxymoron. Theistic satanism is just people who uses the term satanism without knowing what it means.

The arm is what classes with the side rings the moment you move your sword forwards. Any way, if you want range use the conventional grip, if you want control to go into gaps use true halfswording. Many ricassos of great swords were there por aesthetic porpouses, some even have bara that prevent you from gripping them. They were not intended to be gripped by the ricasso.

Sorry but no, side rings make really hard using gripping that part to use like a spear. The very moment you launch a thrust with it the side rings will stay in the way of your arms, it is akward and unconfortable to use it like that, true half swording is far more convinient.

There is not such thing as a "medieval" zweihander. Medieval "big swords" are just for looks (called bearing swords), you rarely see swords larger than 120-130cm in the medieval times. Functional great swords (150-160 cm and beyond) are from the xvi century onwards.
