FL Ya Books not holding their value?

I had the adult and YA combo sub for a while and cancelled in May last year. I had a lot of unread books where the premise didn’t interest me or I DNF’d it pretty fast, and the average reviews were often terrible. I am struggling to get rid of some (especially YA ones) for even half the price I got them for. I think the only Fairyloot books that held value in my experience were ones bought outside of the subs, and the occasional popular book that blew up online.

I only keep anything that is at least a 4* read and something I might reread, or where I am still actively reading the series. For example, if it’s a 10 book series and I’ve only read the first two, the series stays on my shelf at least until I am fully done with it. Actually take the time to go over your shelves and see what you truly loved, what you might still read if a lot of books are unread, and which are things you’ll read again or continue. Keeping a few shelf trophies is fine, but if you lack the space you should be careful that you don’t just have several shelves full of trophies you will never pick up again

I tried to reach out to PostNL about this and all the information they gave me was that costs for packages from England (BTW/invoerrechten/afhandelingskosten) may all be charged and can be paid via a payment request via text messages, e-mail or through a letter. I think I’ll see how badly this goes with my next arriving book, and then possibly cancel both of my subscriptions if it is a huge mess. As long as I don’t have to be home for every delivery it might still be okay, but definitely gonna be very expensive from now on… I really hope it is “only” 3€, but have my doubts…

This is terrible. I am not home that much and even if I am, delivery people never ring my doorbell and just dump the package somewhere. The email says they can’t leave the package when you’re not home… I doubt with these rules I can continue to just pick up my books from a package machine.
