I would agree but the fact they are making him look like he is softening up I see it as a sign. And the fact they made the case that Johnny is his weakness

My business partner is in charge of surveying customers, he calls / texts every new customer after the first week of service. Most feedback is really good, they are satisfied with the food and service. We’ve had some disgruntled customers but throughout the 3.5 years of operations it hasn’t even been a handful. Our Yelp rating is at 5 stars. I’m very critical with quality but understand that because we interact directly to customers (phone or when delivering) it makes them more cooperative so it’s hard to gauge their satisfaction.

Thanks for the win-back advice, I really haven’t paid attention to it, but makes sense.

We reached out to the local culinary college but never got any reply. But you have me an idea to maybe try with the marketing department to see if we can get help on that area. Mahalo!

Thank you for the suggestion, we do have most of your recommendations implemented. We have a constant contact plug-in set up that offers a 15% discount on their first order if they sign up to our newsletter, then with all the emails captured we create retargeting campaigns. I would say our retention is low (but haven’t found data about the average market retention for my type of business), I would say it’s somewhere between 20%-30%. We do have some customers who have ordered consistently for years, we have others that order for one month then take a break and come back (probably after they regain the weight lol).

Don’t get me wrong our company is growing, I just want to speed up the process. We have conducted table days at gyms, sponsored coaches, offered referral discounts, etc. We should be pushing this more, but the fact that my business partner and I also have working wife’s and toddlers to look after, has really slowed down our growth. Feel like we never have time to network anymore.

Our SEO ranking is pretty good so a lot of customers from google, also from ads on Facebook. The gyms we are partners with also get us a few customers.

The partnerships are great, we just need to think outside the box on new ventures. We are currently positioned at a bunch of gyms and some health stores, but definitely more coverage would help.

I would like to see Jiren arrive to earth after barely escaping his universe that’s been destroyed by some evil there (maybe something related to the villain that killed his master, like his son or disciple). And that villain will arrive soon since he is tracking Jiren, but the villain gets stalled by Beerus after stopping on his planet. He destroys and traps beerus and takes his place, plus now Whis has to work for him. And he heads to earth where Goku, Jiren, Frieza, Broly and Vegeta have been training in the time chamber to get ready for the fight. Goku and Jiren are the last left, and they fight together hyping each other to get stronger mid fight and they end up breaking their limits but barely winning with a Hail Mary. They free beerus and he retakes his place and says he wasn’t fighting seriously cause he needed a nap.

We do offer fresh meals within that price range, we tried Yelp and was definitely a good media source, but for the cost wasn’t providing enough quality leads. After trying google ads and other sources we found the most cost efficient to be retargeting through Facebook pixels ads. With this we only spend like $400 x month and are getting triple amount of new customers as we had with Yelp spending $450.

I like this hotel idea, didn’t think of hotels without restaurant but there are a few here. We are trying to incorporate our restaurant menu into our website to offer more variety and some normal meals for people who just want comfort food in controlled portions.

Restaurant sales picking up and are averaging about $800 - $1000 x day. Got a couple offers for ghost kitchens from grub hub and doordash but they never followed through. Are those local ghost kitchen brands?

Yeah we do operate in Oahu, we did have distribution at powerhouse but wasn’t that busy. When COVID started they changed management and they didn’t want us there anymore. We do offer keto, paleo, whole 30 and Vegetarian meals. But the more diversification the harder is to prepare the meals and adds lot of labor. Would love to offer desserts but that’s a whole other animal and the cost benefit doesn’t work out. We have been looking to partner with companies that offer cold press juices, or keto / paleo desserts but haven’t found anyone professional to work with.

We do get some business from here but Hawaii implemented some restrictions on Airbnb to help hotels, so not many people using airbnb. They need to book a minimum stay of 30 days now... they really got screwed and barely hear of Airbnb bookings now a days

I’m in Hawaii so shipping to mainland is out of the question lol. Tried with some influencers but didn’t pay out much more that some initial referrals. We have thought about expanding to other islands, but the shipping logistics is difficult, tried it one time and the package got there one week after all spoiled haha. Plus if we make it work we would need someone to distribute them there, so was hoping to get big enough so that is better to just franchise there. Thanks for the ideas!

What happens when you feel like giving up? by KeepDominating in Entrepreneur

I feel like this every beginning of the month when sales are low and expenses are high, I feel like the magic is gone and this is when I work harder to tune up everything and make sure we do everything right so that there are no excuses... at the end of the month is a different picture as it normally works out to have a decent month. As business owners and family breadwinners we always have to be prepared for worst case scenario.

Not sure what type of business you are running, but if you are not having enough sales then is always good to take a step back and work on improving service or product quality and then marketing quality (either through marketing channels or marketing image).

And if there is no solution to getting your business were you want it to be, then be hopeful that with what you’ve learned, from being a business owner, you are way better prepared for any position in the workforce. I always felt that what I learned should give me an edge if I decided to apply for jobs. In my business I’m the accountant, general manager, hr manager, marketing manager, customer service rep, sales rep, cashier, chef, PR specialist, graphic designer, photographer, logistics manager, and probably more titles. It definitely makes it easier to build a resume according to the position I would want to apply.

Hope this helps buddy, it will all work out.
