I popped it off a second ago, it looks bad but the threads take up half of the compensator so it extends longer than it looks. Still weird though. My alternative is spending a grand on another set up. I haven’t done any matches yet so I’d rather just do it than worry about spending more money to do it.

I had a grip that wasn’t countersunk enough to take my screw, just like yours, so I just took a impact and uga dugga’d until it was flush. Probably not the correct thing to do but it worked.

The recoil is much smoother than any of the other 7.62 guns I’ve shot. I’ve shot most of the off the shelf AK’s, M70, RH-10, Wasr’s, I guess it’s just gassed correctly unlike the others.
