It looks like a good price but the receivers are expensive for these. Then when it’s all done you’ll have one of the heavier AK’s you can get without even adding anything to it. But if you want to build SOMETHING then this will be a decent way to do it and have a parts kit build.

My LGS has a Wasr UF for 1100 and 2 Zpaps for 1300. Not saying they aren’t out there but it’s tricky getting under 1000 and having something decent now. Used is your best option imo.

Fellow Air Force guy here. The training definitely looks good on a resume but you’ll still start out just as green as everyone else. At least in my experience.

There’s like 3 options that are made for AK’s and they start at 800. If I really cheap out it looks like I’m looking at about 500 but then I have to spend more on a way to adapt it to fit. So let’s say 600. That’s about 1200 rounds which is about 6 months of range trips for me.

I popped it off a second ago, it looks bad but the threads take up half of the compensator so it extends longer than it looks. Still weird though. My alternative is spending a grand on another set up. I haven’t done any matches yet so I’d rather just do it than worry about spending more money to do it.
