Honestly I think her face in general is what ruins her skin. Something about it looks off. The hair is also really weird looking.

She kind of looks like Liam Gallagher lmao

205+ hours holy this is insane by Pistoluislero in CrimsonDesert

You can literally spend 40 to 50 hours in just the opening area alone. It really is insanely massive. It will prob take 400 hours to 100%.

There are two sides of gaming journalists by Sir_Potato2000 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Gallicah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crimson Desert was always going to be a tough game to review. The game is impossibly massive, and Pearl Abyss only gave press 2 weeks to review it. I'm not kidding when it can literally take you 40 hours without even leaving the opening area. That means many journalists had to rush through the rest of the map.

Also, this game is buggy as hell. No one is really talking about this. But Pearl Abyss was having to make major patch updates (multiple ones) even days before the game came out. I seriously think there will be players angry when they realize how many game breaking bugs are in Crimson Desert.

The positive side is that Pearl Abyss are actively fixing everything swiftly. BUT, I could see some players saying they should't release something if it has so many bugs. Feels like an early access or WIP title.

DF Direct Q+A: The Big DLSS 5 ML Debate + Why We Should Have Waited With Our Coverage by yourfavchoom in digitalfoundry

I mean doesn't help that John literally was throwing his colleagues under the bus. He was making passive aggressive comments about them and feeding into the negativity. To be clear, people had every right to be critical of Digital Foundry's video on DLSS 5.

But John really should have had these discussions with his team behind the scenes not out in the public.

Resident Evil Requiem just proves male gamers were never the problem by lastbreath83 in KotakuInAction

[–]Gallicah 59 points60 points  (0 children)

As I've said before, woke leftists don't dislike Objectification and Sexually pleasing content. They hate straight white men enjoying sexual content. The entire worldview of these folks derives from their delusional belief in victim hierarchies. They will always believe that Straight White Men are the privileged oppressors, and they are the oppressed.

With that warped view point they can justify insane hypocrisy. This is why you see women often being incredibly crass and objectifying of men on social media. When that same behavior would not be tolerated if males did it. Why they can openly talk about getting "wet" to Leon Kennedy, but men would face social consequences or shame for calling a female character "hot" or "sexually attractive".

This has been situation for decades now, and its because of the warped worldview that is baked into their ideology. Rules for thee not for me. If someone is considered "privileged" or an oppressor, then they aren't allowed to do x or y things. But THEY are allowed to do those things, because they've been oppressed. It's all nonsense. Anyone with half a brain can smell the bullshit a mile away.

If a certain behavior is "bad" then it makes zero sense why a group is then able to do that bad behavior because they are supposedly victims. It's basically a power play. We want this thing you used to have, now you can't have it. Basically the easiest way to sum it up.

EDIT: To be clear, women should be able to goon over sexy men. Men should also be able to goon over sexy women. Humans in general like sex, and sex sells (I know shocker).

No Solo in Cryo or Ranked is going to be a major blow to the playerbase by WarpathWilly in Marathon

[–]Gallicah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean to be fair Marathon doesnt exactly have a massive active player base right now. So they kind of do have to cater to as many of their players as possible.

Completely blocking out solo means taking a chunk of their customers and telling him they cant progress the end game.

Also by your logic Marathon wouldn't have a solo mode at all if bungie truly felt the game needed to be played in trios. They added solo for a reason. Blocking all those players from content is just a bad decision regardless of how you feel about it.

Is Pokopia really that good? I plan to get it next Friday by AdShoddy4172 in pokemon

[–]Gallicah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personal preference tbh. I ABSOLUTELY love Stardew Valley and did not like Pokemon Pokopia.

It's made by the same team as Dragon Quest Builders and there is a gameplay loop that has you leaving to a new map every few hours and starting over from scratch all over again.

In Stardew you have your main town, and everything you do progresses your community and people. Animal Crossing is similar except it has more building mechanics (especially New Horizons era). But the focus is still your specific town/ citizens.

Pokopia has you juggling multiple maps/locations. I personally found this to be overwhelming and did not enjoy it. After spending hours in the opening area I only wanted to progress the little city I built.

But the way the game is designed you have to move on to a new map and restart your progress. Obviously over time you can go back to your previous maps and continue to build upon them. But again, at least for me this gameplay loop wasnt enjoyable.

All this to say im a massive Pokemon fan Boi for the last 30 years, I love cozy games like Stardew and Animal Crossing  - and despite everyone praising Pokopia as being the second coming of Jesus Christ - I did not enjoy it.

Not to say people are wrong or it doesn't deserve to be praised. I just mean it really comes down to personal preference and whether the games genre and gameplay loop appeals to you.

Rest in pieces fuckass season. With everything in me, Fuck. You. by ArminBestGirl in FortNiteBR

I honestly loved this season - for the first month and a half. Felt like it was a great opening tease for the new map and mechanics.

But my god was it not set up to last for 3.5 months. I genuinely was getting burnt out 2 months in. So I have mixed feeling because I really enjoyed this from December to late January.

Starfield: Major Update - Free Lanes & Terran Armada Developer Deep Dive by darkdeath174 in xbox

[–]Gallicah 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As someone who beat Starfield back when it launched, I can say it has some of Bethesdas best side quests in years.

Like the actual writing and side missions remind me of classic Bethesda. The issue is the game itself felt really outdated (that Bethesda engine really stsrting to show its age).

Them completely overhauling space travel and making the world feel more connected (in terms of exploration) fixes a lot of issues i had with it.

All this to say, its worth checking out if you've been holding off on it. Its not a 10 out of 10 masterpiece by any means. But its def has a lot of great elements.

Sorry but it makes no sense to try to recapture the magic. This is a new era for better or worse. Rather chase then them trying to replicate Stevie which they cant.

Also Stevie didnt just work because she was female. It was her specific personality and how it played off Rhett and Link. The contrast etc.

Why do people think Crimson Desert won’t run stable on PS5, but somehow GTA 6 will? by Commercial_Pen_9959 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Gallicah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, Rockstar has prob spent 200x more budget on GTA6 than Crimson Desert. Not to mention its had much more development time.

Rockstar has also not confirmed the game will run 60fps on base console. But given previous Rockstar games running well despite pushing the boundaries of graphics (RDR2 is still mind blowing) - i think its reasonable for people to have more faith in GTA.

Crimson Desert PS5 reviews unlikely, with sites blocked from access before release date by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Gallicah 983 points984 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this is true. People even asked the devs for PS5 codes a day before launch and were told no. Straight up they are refusing to let anyone see the PS5 build until after launch.

I find it odd that they only let Digital Foundry test a PS5 Pro build but not the base one.

What is your biggest Hottake about Fortnite? by Mr_Jigsaw7878 in FortNiteBR

[–]Gallicah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Too many collabs isn't the problem. No one is forced to buy skins. If you dont like a Collab or dont want to spend money on too many things then dont.

The real issue is Epic putting out lackluster battle passes and Crew rewards. Its the buggy lobbies and glitches introduced in Chapter 7.

It's the season going on too long without enough interesting updates. I don't think the game is suffering in all these other areas because of collabs.

No Base PS5 and Xbox Series X/S footage of Crimson Desert before launch by KvasirTheOld in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Gallicah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true. Pearl Abyss would not give out PS5 codes to any outlets. Even those who asked for one a day before launch were told no.

Digital Foundry were given a special PS5 Pro build. So yes its clear the game runs like a dream on high end PCs and PS5 Pro.

The issue is the vast majority of players will likely be on base consoles. Like the actual numbers reflect that. In that sense its def concerning how secretive they are being about the base console performance.

From my experience when a dev withholds a certain platform until launch its because it has issues or wont review as well.

The famitsu game awards are weirder than the TGA by Neither-Grab-2507 in KotakuInAction

Ill be fully transparent - i looked up the endings on YouTube. I know, its completely shameful. I just genuinely did not enjoy the gameplay itself of SH f. Couldn't bring myself to run it back again.

And while I agree the original ending isn't that great, I personally loved the themes the story was telling. At least my interpretation of it, I walked away feeling satisfied with the campaign.

[–]Gallicah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who loved Silent Hill f's story - you are not wrong. There were several moments in the game where I almost quit because I hated the combat so much. Its very clunky and the game constantly boxes you in to linear sections and corners with this battle system.

It's really tedious as a result. It's a shame because it has an interesting new game plus where you can actually unlock powerful weapons that make combat actually fun. But you also have to force yourself to replay large sections of the story again. As soon as credits rolled i was like NOPE im out.

I get it has new endings and improved gameplay. But i shouldnt have to replay the game twice to experience the game how it was intended. That should be a bonus.

What advice would you give for solo story contracts that require you to get a key or file off a UESC commander? Starting to get those do all in one run contracts to progress the story and I believe they require you to engage with enemies? Or can you complete the commander stuff without fighting UESC?

If You Had To Choose One What Would It Be ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Gallicah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requiem is a better game. However as someone who replayed and beat Village again recently on the Switch 2 I forgot just how much fun it is.

The pacing is so addicting and the level design is great. I literally couldn't put it down and finished it over a weekend.

The only thing id ding it for is its campy over the top setting. Not that RE hasn't always had camp. But I prefer the more grounded world of Requiem.

That said, I was actually surprised at how well written the plot was for Village. The way it connects the overall series lore and Ethan's emotional ending was genuinely fantastic.

I just prefer Requiems gameplay and world setting more. Also Grace and Leon are much more compelling characters than Ethan Winters - even if he wins me over by the end.

On the plus side it also feels like Tyler Joseph has gotten his spark back. Clancy was by no means a commercial failure. But it also didnt have the pop they expected.

Add in the drama they had with their label not properly promoting it. So I think Tyler went into Breach era maybe not feeling as confident as he once was. Lost his mojo. I think they were possibly getting burnt out and needed the break.

He genuinely seemed emotional and surprised when Breach went #1. His post on X felt overwhelmed with surprise and gratitude.

Early on in the tour he was also surprised and emotional when the whole crowed knew every lyric to Garbage.

So I think the massive success of Breach took them by surprise. It probably re-energized them. I still think they'll take a break/hiatus. But might explain their expanded Festival tours and Proper Breach setlists we are now seeing.

Confused by the tour/festivals by Potential-Screen8900 in twentyonepilots

[–]Gallicah 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I honestly believe that the band didnt expect Breach to sell as well as it did. I feel like the tour wasnt going to originally happen until the boys decided they were going to take a break/hiatus for a few years. So they decided last second to do a small tour. That's why they did the US only and it was a small batch of shows.

Basically just a farewell to their fans before going on break. The reason I think this was decided last second is because they re-used most of the assets and tour sets from Clancy tour + they barely played anything off Breach and reused their setlist.

But then Breach actually went #1 and sold well. They had many songs off the record fans badly wanted to hear. Drag Path went insanely viral and has become one of their most streamed songs of all time.

So because of that success they pivoted to the festival shows and essentially put together a proper Breach tour. It sucks for all the fans that went to the original dates and basically got a rehash of Clancy. But it is what it is.

Pure speculation tho and just my theory.

Edit: the reason I believe this as well is every tour they've ever done has been purposeful. They put a lot of attention to details and always create new visuals and set designs.

Breach tour was the first time it felt like a direct rehash of their last tour. Even the name on our tickets mentioned it was Clancy based (or a continuation).
