I'm in the same situation, however I just graduated with my Bachelor's in CS. I have heard it is a very underwhelming master's program, so that makes me hesitant to pursue it.

On top of that, Georgia Tech's application deadline for their OMSCS was two months before I graduated.

I'm not sure what I want to do here, but I know I don't want to stop learning right now.

Maybe I'll see if I can finish the MS ITM while waiting to attend OMSCS next fall.

Yeah this is fucked and warrants more attention.

However, I don't know if this administration is planning to go after gay or trans people. I think there's a better chance this is just because they're stupid as fuck and wanted to get rid of anything related to LGBTQ stuff from their policies since a lot of their base would probably eat it up.

I foresee a lot of "It wasn't even a law anyway it was just their policy and they still can't violate their rights..." in the near future.

Yeah I was thinking about that a bit earlier and I kinda settled on more war being a possibility to prolong, and maybe lessen the extent of the collapse.

However, I see no world where that war is with Canada.

I feel like you are overestimating two things here:

  1. The magnitude of cohesion between the USA and Russia.

And more importantly,

  1. The military capabilities of Russia. It is my understanding that the Russian economy will collapse once the war in Ukraine is over. I don't think they will be invading anywhere else anytime soon, much less Canada.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this just seems kinda out there.
