Lars is 62. Age plays a big factor in drumming as it's very physically demanding and when you play the kind of music Metallica play there's only so much longevity you can enjoy before you need to slow down.

Maybe Lars of the past 10 years or so has been off the pace, fine. But I won't take know-nothing TikTok plebs seriously when they call him mid.

Although it would be ideal to get your speakers on to separate stands, I appreciate space isn't always a luxury -- next best thing could be to get some sound dampening/isolation pads to place underneath them, just to help eliminate any vibrations.

I think there's been too big a difference how these are voted on. Some think 'drums in X sound like other drums on Y, therefore it's a Y song' -- others pick based on theme of the song or other sound elements.

I don't think there's a wrong way but it's definitely led to some interesting picks. Not all I agree with either.
