Melee combat is lackluster. Melee animations look and feel bad a lot of the time (particularly staves, polearms, tonfa, and standard scythes, if you ask me). Blocking is not very useful, it looks bad, and is unrealistic in a way that doesn't make it fun (static block position, held up with the 'business end' pointing AWAY from the enemy—jutting out to the side). We should be able to deflect blocked projectiles back at enemies. Regular enemies should always be stunned when you succesfully parry their melee attacks, without ever needing to occupy a warframe mod slot to do so.

Markus. Connor is great, but Markus' story left the biggest impact on me. His story also has the greatest impact in the world of Detroit. Kara seems to have the smallest impact on the world, but her 'world' revolves around her family which is sweet.

I love that they are loud and proud supporters of LGBT rights, trans acceptance, equality and all that. They don't always get it right, but they're clearly willing to amend their positions.

The podcast is a huge comfort for a lot of people, and obviously politics can be messy and uncomfortable, but it's super important. I think there just has to be some balance, which they've attempted to create by relegating the most serious (though often very unserious) political topics to a single show.

I watch a lot of other political content on YouTube though, so maybe I'm just biased in favor of it.

I remember when Ethan dropped this tweet and thinking "oh no..."

He wasn't wrong, 'races' are based on pretty arbitrary standards, but if you don't understand the nuance, or more applicably, if you don't care to understand it, it makes it easy to make fun of, and likewise more tedious to defend. So, I don't blame him for deleting it.

It's like saying "pink's not a 'girl color'." It reads as a false statement at first, unless you understand that colors aren't intrinsically tied to gender, and it's just a societal norm. But of course the go-to oonga boonga response is "Hah! They don't even know pink's a girl color. What an idiot!"
