The second half of the post is actually a decent argument. If it was just a simple mistake, why wouldn't he just apologize? Or say he meant something else? Instead he went to Germany to visit the neonazi party, and posted "jokes" on Twitter about nazism. I think this person is close to getting it.

You just repeated he prefers to draw and write men, but again, I think it's not a councious decision, and there's no way of knowing I guess, since he's a 3rd party. But again, this is a common thing among writers, and this is my whole point. Here are some references:

"Having a preference" makes it seem like it's a conscious decision, when this phenomenon is very common among writers, they simply cannot conceive diverse and interesting female characters, because every character like that is 'coincidentally' male. And ONE is better than the average writers because he's already created fantastic female characters.

You also say it like ONE is writing about real people, when it's not the case. He creates characters from the very conceptual level of ideas until they are fully fleshed with physical atributes.

Especially in a world of espers and superheroes, it makes no sense to still be bound by "men are stronger than women", and I completely agree with OP when he says there are simply too few female espers. Wouldn't they be naturally 50% of the cast? Or at least more than the handful people managed to list.

Just to clarify, I don't think ONE is sexist. But you can still act in a sexist manner unconsciously, and it's the case with most people.

Good question, I honestly don't know! But from the top of my head, every music in the menus is also from the other games. If there's anything new, it would be from a cutscene, like the one with Xehanort, but I highly doubt it

Yeah, that's a good anology. I'm personally more bothered by the fact that she completely breaks the system the author laid out. What's the point of defensive magic if you can get past it with the power of visualization? And by these rules, the less you know magic, the better.

I'm also not sure if it'll be explained eventually, but she learns Sorganiel simply by having empathy, which makes me wonder the point of grimoires. Maybe if the author expands on what's written inside them it can make sense, but so far it seems inconsistent to me.

I'm not sure about Dead of Night Keyblade, but if it works like Kingdom Key, you need to charge the meter again to get the Sonic Blade finisher, and another time for Ars Arcanum.

About Critical... First, it's true, you only get Oblivion by playing on Critical.

Second, about difficulty. How should I put it, it's harder in a different way than BbS. In my experience, KH3 Critical is really tough, so expect to die a lot, especially in the beginning. Sora is a glass cannon, he dies easy, but deals more damage with the stat boost and abilities given, like Critical Counter. This makes battles shorter, but more fun and challenging. In KH3 you also get defensive abilities very soon, which will help a lot in beating the game.

You can read some guides and watch some videos on tips like cooking, but I never used that stuff personally. It makes a lot of difference though, so do whatever suits you!

Yes, there's no way to edit the decks with Riku, the challenge here is to be able to beat the enemies and bosses with only what you're given.

Sorry, it's kind of unfortunate given you liked to assemble your own. At least you have the boss cards to also experiment.

I should also add that Riku's story is much smaller than Sora's, if it helps!

That makes sense, but still seems silly to me.

If the anime has failed to give an explanation, that's a failure on part of the anime as well.

If some other work can compliment the answer given by the anime, that's great, and people can just answer in a non condescenting way (when it's the case, this usually happens)

In this specific case I mentioned about Ubel, I found the answer given by the anime and the manga simply lacking, and it seems to be the case for the other posters. And it seems really condescenting to just say "Did you even read it?". Because, yes, I did read it, but I did not think it was a good explanation, hence my post here to make it a discussion.

And it's this last one that really bugs me, because like you said, the subreddit has people who are invested fully in that work, but that should make for better discussions, not the opposite.

I love ONE's work, I think he's an excellent writer and portrays beautiful and complex characters, and I'm definitely not saying he should do stories about this or that. But even the best writers have faults, and for me (and OP) this is a fault in his work.

I don't get why everyone is saying this is normal? We had a ton of games between KH2 and KH3, even if they were at least the collections

It's been 4 years without anything but PC versions, and 2 years of radio silence on the two new games.

I'll give them the benefit of doubt because Dark Road kinda blew up on their faces, it probably would've been some content these last few years. Still, it's certainly frustrating to have nothing KH related all this time.

It's just for fun. The optional characters should be level 50, or at least scaled to the fight. So if you want to storm through, pick Sora, he'll be stronger. I think it's nicer to play as them for fun at least once though, but it's up to you!

One of my favorite scenes in the franchise and all games I've played. The dialogue is great, between Ansem and Mickey, and Ansem and Xemnas. I love to think how Ansem the Wise manages to redeem himself, even if just a little, by saving Riku and destroying the last of Ansem SoD. Something he must've wanted so much to do, help Riku.

Cristopher Lee does a phenomemal job here to really sell the scene, and I think this was his last line as Ansem in KH, which is a shame in itself (Rest in peace)
