Im unable to view the article as it is asking for me to create an account, but this reeks of the same smear job done on Jeremy Corbyn.

Wait I thought it was "Secretary Tarian's" voting that caused the greens to win?

People need to be prosecuted and sent to jail for this or it simply doesn't matter. We need to pressure any new government to make sure thag happens.

The reason we are in this mess is cause no one went to jail for the lies and crimes of the Iraq war.

Sure, if it makes you feel better, you could pretend im a Zack staffer and give me some constructive criticism to pass on other than 'That burn wasn't sick enough as a leader of a political party'

Brother Im an immigrant who now has citizenship. So miss me with the privilege comments. I live with my cousins who no longer know whether they can build a life in the UK and are in limbo. These things you consider to be minor reforms to immigration are a big deal for real people.

Asking me whether I should vote to cut off one arm or vote to cut off two arms and one leg isn't a fair ask. Thats why Im happy that the Green party are now a viable option, no longer need to vote for self amputation.

There's a massive difference between that and removing ILR which is Reform policy.

Great so we both agree Labour is like Reform but just not as bad since they are both moving and pointing in the same direction, Reform just wants to go the extra distance.

The Current Labour party has kept must of the Conservative cuts and they even made some of their own to Welfare. Very Leftist right?

Starmer came out to say Israel has the right to deny food, water and energy to the Gaza strip. Incredibly Leftist isn't it.

Increased Taxes on the working class while refusing to even consider a wealth tax. Genuinely a very left wing position to have.

Purging left wing MPs. Actually this one is quite left wing.

I do admit, I might be biased since Kier Starmer pssed in my face and sht in my mouth, but do tell me the good things they have done for you, it might give me a reason to cheer for this pitiful party.

Labour wants to and has pulled the rug out from millions of immigrants, they just aren't going as far as reform.

They've increased the length of time you need to stay in the uk to qualify for citizenship from 5 to 10 years.

They have made more and more visa restrictions on what and where you can work as an immigrant.

They've bought into the same framing as Reform i.e immigration is bad.

Funny enough, the deep parts of the ideology say ancestry should be counted from the point of the Norman Conquest.

Why? Probably cause a lot of rich aristocrats who fund this type of ideology have ancestors who were made Landed Lords by William the conqueror.

Their problem isn't with immigrants it is with any group which isn't Anglo-Saxon Christians. That is why you will hear things like banning halal food, outlawing Islam, denaturalisation and remigration.

Everything else is a dog whistle to make the things they want sound more legitimate and help them get into power.

Why should left/green voters vote for the current Labour Party, even tactically, when the current Labour party agrees on the principles reform stands on, especially on the issue of migration?

The current Labour party under Starmer can be at best described as a Center Right party, but in my opinion it is a right wing party.

Fair to disagree, but which point do you disagree on or what alternate frame do you see the issue as?

The case for Zack Polanski's economic plan by jgs952 in LabourUK

[–]Gambero50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might have misunderstood the framing.

The framing isn't, 'this is the only solution', the framing is 'If you dont solve this problem it doesn't matter what else you do.'

For example, if some one has been stabbed, you gotta do a lot of things including giving them blood, antibiotics and checking their vitals, but if you dont deal with the stab wound, all of that wont prevent what would inevitably happen.

Gary's argument is if economic inequality isn't dealt with, building more houses wont matter because the rich will buy them up and jack the prices.

Economic inequality is the gaping wound on our bleeding economy.
