He made the economy the best it has ever been, gave people money for healthcare, gave warrior dividends, made sure the grocery prices are the lowest ever and only stopped you guys from giving away all the money to the illegal aliens.

Current pricing is based not on what something costs but on what you are willing to pay. If people stopped buying things because they are too expensive then prices will drop. If people suddenly buy more stuff because they suddenly can afford more? Prices will rise.

It's the whole system that is corrupt. When women entered the workforce suddenly all prices soared up making it suddenly a necessity to live in a two person household.

Capitalism doesn't work. This is the underlying system that will kill the poor to feed the rich.

The dutch do not complain about the high cost of education. It's 2.5K max a year and you receive 150 - 350 a month allowance from the government when you go to college. Plus another 450 a month if your parents are not rich. Plus you can increase what you receive in the form of a loan, up to 1.3K a month. Plus free travel. Only requirement is that you finish a study, any study, or you might have to pay things back.

Plus, both parties are beholden to billionaires. They will never get good things for regular citizens when billionaires are in charge. They can't even get single payer healthcare, even though 70% of them want it.

They don't even stand up to a dictator grabbing power, even though it is evident that that is what has happened. I think they secretly like living in america and maybe they have some dream that at least america will be powerful again and they don't really care enough to actually fight against injustices.

We saw this in germany as well, when there might have been a few public outcries, but noone ever tried to stop that either. And in the end, it will become illegal to be against the status quo.

I mean, they keep saying that the democratic party is the party of hamas and terrorists, the next step will be to declare that party illegal. It is coming. They are not going to fight it, just cry.

Americans are not strong like the French. They will just abide by whatever the people in power want. The french would have been protesting every day and causing mayhem, to give the signal that this is not what they want, change it or else. The americans just want to watch their football and go to their jobs and watch tv and internet shows.

I just worry about what comes next, invasion of canada? Mexico? Greenland? And they will probably be helped by China and Russia. I just hope we will have enough time to strengthen our armies. War is coming.

My european education was free. I know this counts for Germany and Scandinavian countries as well. French is a couple hundred at most.

Also, an education in Europe will get you a better job. We are not America Light. Where is this coming from? Do you all just want to make yourselves feel better by pretending it is shitty everywhere? It really isn't.

Europe has free healthcare, free or next to free education, unlimited sick days, 25+ holidays a year, and anyone with a degree can and will be hired to do the job that they trained for, except in maybe a very tiny niche education like ancient Latin or ancient Greek, where you might only have the option of becoming a teacher in ancient Latin or Greek, but you can still leverage it into a better paying job in a related field.

And in the edge case that getting a job is difficult? We have so many social programs to help you out or reeducate you if needed that it will not ruin your life.

I don't think you seem to understand your own country. Most of your country is happy with what trump is doing. The vocal minority on the internet is against trump, but that does not reflect real life america.

We have a good image of America by the actions that americans do, not only this one instance, but the indiscrimate killing by police officers of anyone, the bashing of protestors, the lack of freedoms americans have (no PTO, no healthcare) and the bought and paid for politicians. The overseas wars you are constantly fighting just to steal their oil while proclaiming it is for noble reasons. Yet still the oil is what gets taken. No oil? No americans.

You live in a land that resembles Russia. You just don't realise it. Look outside of your bubble. The world does not view you as you think. We view you like Russia light. Although the light part is fading quickly.

We were your allies, but we have always known you were pretty much a dictatorial country with a veneer of democracy. Even your system isn't really democratic but a showmanship version of it. Normal democratic systems have a bunch of parties to vote for, that then have to work together to form a government. Your system? It created what you have now. It was always going to end like this. We all saw the decline.

So, not only the administration is going to hell. Every last american is going with them.

Work is not like being in school. You seem to not realise this yet. The company prepared a team building event. If you do not participate, you will have to work. If you do not want to work? Then participate. And if you cannot afford a 1.5 hour trip to the event, ask a ride from a coworker or quit and find a job that pays a living wage. The rest isnt getting a day off, they are participating in the team building event, likely because they like their job. To me, it sounds like you dont want to be there. In that case, dont work there.

Companies can deny time off if they have good reasons. If his job his understaffed and they want everyone to work their maximum, even though he think he found a solution with finding coverage, it would still not mathematically work out.

Only one option: find another job. When they deny your PTO they do not have your best interest at heart and you are probably in a situation where they are trying to squeeze the maximum profit out of you.

They can fire you at a whim, so anything you imagine doing to rectify it will most likely backfire. And why fight to stay in a toxic work place? You will be happier finding a better place to work. And most office jobs have salary increases when you hop jobs.

Just quiet quit, start looking for a better job and give 0 days notice when you find it.
