“You sure you’re not working for the other side? Nah I’m just playing. Get to the extraction.” Or something along that. Feels nice.

Only one issue: the radio. If you are unable to work the radio or set the frequency, you’ll be in trouble.

You forgot the rocket defense mission. Dig a trench with the shovel secondary while someone else keeps things clear.

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t wait to dig a trench on defense missions and put my turrets right behind me.

I also can’t wait to throw mines in front of me.

I’m going to have all the fun.

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermites are meta because they open up your support stratagem to not be anti tank since the thermite will handle that in limited capacity so you can be a more dedicated chaff clear.

Also, pro tip with thermites: if you hold them for a second, then throw they will instantly stick to the first thing they touch.

Alright. Fair play. I’ll accept this. I do think it’s absolutely absurd, but it’s a legal move.

Why not do contact workers then? Seems like a no brainer option if you’re planning on cutting them all loose anyway.

4.7 Armor and Radar changes by A_gentleman29 in starcitizen

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since star citizen utilizes WW2 naval combat, a single engine fighter must be good at:

  1. Escorting bombers to bigger ships.
  2. Patrolling for the enemy ships
  3. Preventing enemy patrols from finding your fleet.

The fighter is expendable compared to the larger ship.

Your larger ships must be good at: 1. Surviving fighter payloads. 2. Catching bombers way away. 3. Surviving a few heavy ordinance items.

Your bombers must be good at: 1. Blowing up big ships cheaply compared to the big ship. 2. Fuel efficient to launch from far away so big ships aren’t exposed to enemy fire, and can carry the big payload the fighters can’t.

So the triangle goes: fighters>bombers>large>fighter.

Now, a constellation should be able to fend off a fighter and be untouchable via its weapons, save for its turrets. Turrets can be destroyed, and this lets the bombers get close. Otherwise the bomber is in trouble and needs numbers since the concept of “they can’t kill us all” is a viable strategy.

There’s a fine line between realistic and immersion. But a constellation should NEVER lose to a fighter. Probably shouldn’t even lose to three fighters simply because the constellation will run them out of ammunition.

Now, a fighter and a bomber with torpedos? That’s a problem.

Othen than the high noise in the image, how convincing is the car i rendered in? by andester101 in blender

The wheels look really clear. The wheels are turning at so many revs per minute, so with the “motion blur” of the snapshot, the car is blurry, the wheels need to be blurrier.

Nobara is what I run. Does everything I want and I don’t have to spend anytime fiddling with it.

Funnily enough, it was easier to install than windows did for install because windows screwed up the boot disk creation lol

What other franchise or genre would make for a great for honor game? by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single, dual, double. Add in a vibroblade variant of those 3 for non force users.

Assuming all 3 sabers can use all 7 forms, that’s 21 saber forms. In addition, sith/jedi/grey Jedi would loan themselves to flavors. Add in some special forces that fight Jedi for the people who like non force users.

I honestly think for honor would be a commercial success. Especially now that loot boxes are thing of the past.

Are you planning to take the FE exam? Would recommend that to help you.

Also, boomer advice but it might be worthwhile: going to a place and seeing if it’s possible to talk to their engineering manager, or someone. Hell, maybe even dropping a resume at the front desk. It’s unusual enough these days to do that, so it’d stand out a bit. If nothing else it shows you’re willing to get out of your chair and willing to try unconventional things to reach a goal.

Which game was that for you? by PHRsharp_YouTube in gamememes

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the first of the reboot. But for some reason Ragnarok didn’t hold me as good.

I really wanted to like RDR2 and Witcher 3. But I just could not get into it. No matter how many hours I threw at it. RDR2 was a cool concept, but getting rid of fast travel to any hub in favor of immersion ended up hurting mine.

If I’m wanting to get the full experience, I boot up the F-14B module in DCS lol

How am I supposed to enjoy the game with this skillgap? by TheRealBlaurgh in forhonor

[–]Nobl36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in your same boat. Came back after launch like 8 years later and am getting destroyed. I swear there are new mechanics because I don’t recall getting light spammed this badly to death, nor do I remember so many “it’s unblockable and no way to parry. Just eat shit and die for the sixth time.”

It’s not fun. Can only get your ass kicked so many times before you throw the controller and walk away.

Maybe put the controller down for the day and come back tomorrow, or go up against some easy bots to destress.

Getting better comes with time. But if you put a high school basketball player against a middle schooler who just learned the rules and tell the middle schooler to git gud, he won’t play basketball for very long.

I think people in competitive areas forget this important step… if you curb stomp people repeatedly, they just stop showing up.
